HS Baseball Tryouts...When Do They Start?

When does HS baseball hold tryouts?  Is that set by the UIL?  Does UIL only regulate after-school practices?

1st day of practice is January 29th.  The UIL only regulates when after school practice may begin.  Each district has policies on tryouts, cuts, etc.  Email the head coach at the school, they will give you all the information that you will need.

On a Thursday, school night??? Don't see many administrators going for that. Football can get away with it because its summer and kids aren't in school.

Soooooo Bear, FRIDAY at 12:01am it becomes legal to practice. That means the kids would have to stay up late THURSDAY night.

It would be really silly to wait until midnight on Friday.

Hey let me know what yall think,our "cordinator for BOYS sports" at our school is a basketball coach.He has some rule saying that if a kid plays a sport, his sport has to finish before he can jump into another sport.The reason I am saying this is because friday our head baseball coach had to send one of the top freshman baseball players home because of this rule because he plays basketball...Do yall have a rule like this one at yalls school...Wut a crock of poopoo If you ask me......
