The Offical Crow eating thread for the BH/Dayton smackers

BHFAN

Recommended Posts

I'm going to go ahead and get this started, so that I can take the rest of the weekend off Crying :'( No  excuses from this BHFAN. Yes we did have turnovers ,but GCM just came in and gave us a good ole fashion BUTT whoopin. I beg all admistrators to remove RANGER83's User ID from this forum before 10:00 ;D

Also I talked some smack about the Crosby folks as well ;D I like my Crow seasoned with red pepper and A1 please!!!

Congrats to Crosby for getting the Dayton monkey off your back and congrats to GCM for coming to the Hill and completly dominating the Eagles!!

Congrats to the Cougars!

I might talk a lot of smack here, and be somewhat "abrasive", but I am man enough to know that this is all about the kids, for the kids in Crosby, what a game.

Finally beating Dayton.

Crosby played a great game tonight, converted several 3rd and longs and even about three 4th downs.

And there defense slowed the mighty Bronco offense down to a halt.

For the kids in Crosby, be smart and have fun celebrating...

The Broncos will bounce back (DON'T STOP BELIEVING!)

Winning produces confidence

Losing builds character...

Great champions have both confidence and character!

Crosby just got a huge bolt of confidence and for the young men in Dayton, they learned a lot about character tonight.

Oh Ranger boy...here, here Ranger83...we're all here waiting.  I think he's torturing us with silence.

I don't think I'm alone in saying, I've been worried about this game all week.  Just had a feeling our kids had already put this one in the win column.  GCM, just came out and dominated us completely...very hard to watch.

Man this was a crazy week(not for us, I think we would have gotten beat anyway) UH cougars, A&M, Dayton, WOS, North Shore all teams that were supposed win big...Oh, and the Texans won on Sunday, holding an opponent to under 30 points...very strange week.

You guys might want to let your defensive coaches know that when they go into a meeting and tell their players that they will see "the worst QB they have seen all year", that they better plan on defending him a little better! That crisp, white jersey did not get soiled until late in the 3rd quarter!

For you BH boy's that wanted a piece of #21, you wanted it you got it! You have yet to stop him in 2 years!

For all the talk about GCM being "undisciplined" and "hitting after the whistle:

BH 2 personal fouls- GCM 0! (well you won that one at least)

It will be OK Eagles, if they serve kool-aid at the Dance tonight DON"T DRINK IT!

Crow! It does a body good!

Congrats to Crosby and GCM......and Ranger83......  ;D  Well, I just figured out if we put a little Tabasco and jalapeno in the crow stew it is pretty good.  Actually since Price took over I have a very lengthy Crow Cook Book if anyone wants to borrow a few ideas.

Congrats to the Coogs, Pats AND Ranger83, but I'm not eating crow since, like 34, I felt bad all week about this one and declined to make a prediction.  I said it on the the other thread and I'll say it here...GCM athletes look at BH as their only rival team, I don't think ours feel (or FELT!) the same way.  They came into BH stadium prepared, both to execute and leave everything on the field.  We didnt.  The bright side of this is that we learned something (the hard way) and will not forget it for a very long time.  I hope GCM stays 4A awhile longer, cuz there is some hurt pride right now in Eagle land and have the feeling that every Pat sport the rest of this year, all the way through next seasons football team, is going to be facing an Eagle team out to make up for this.  Guess what, GCM, you are now OUR rival...good luck with that and thanks for waking the beast.

;D

What happened to you last night?  Me and BHFan went down at half time and bought you nachos and you never showed.  They lady at the concession stand said they named the nachos after our head COACH's offense "Cheesy" Nachos.  You didn't miss much, the rain pretty much ruined the chips after about two steps.....

Great win for GCM......!!!!!!

Oh no! Now we're really scared!

GCM will be here. Ready and Able!

When you get out of that mudhole GCM just stomped in you, smile, be happy! Now you can play the "Real" football teams in 19-4A that are much more of a worthy opponent.

Because as many of you have said, GCM is terrible! ;)

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
