Back in the day they used to be the Buffaloes.  Then came segregation.  One side of the tracks wanted the Buffalo name while one wanted the Dragons.  Settled on Cougars.

1968-69 Crosby Buffaloes-Crosby Drew Dragons-2 teams- Dayton played both when Broncos were the BroncHos.Do not know the year they took the "H" out.
