Man thats a very high scoring game for Nederland. Nice win. Congrats.

Anahuac got quick forced Forte off the court and was close through out the first quarter.  Anahuac made a run and cut it to 8 in the 2nd period.  Ned hit some big threes early in the third and where up by 17 and Anahuac cut it in half by the fourth. Anahuac was forced out of the press by foul trouble.  Anahuac had 4 players in foul trouble through out the second half.  Forte only had 8pts against a smaller anahuac team. Torres and #34 and #1 all had less the 12. Nederland beat anahuac because of the three ball falling for them.

On the other hand the Refs were bad for both side. No calls under the basket. and loose balls were out of control. Looks like they since the JV squad for the game.

All those kids can shoot the ball.They're a great team when they share the ball and everyone touches it. They have 3 stars, but I've noticed when 3-5 of their players have between 10-20 they're much better than when some have 5 and one has 20-30. Just a thought. Good job Dogs!

They only thing is Nederland is not a team who forces many shots. They are great shooters who are great on kick outs but they don't create for themselves much. Really only Chris, Francis, and Dionte on the low blocks can get a decent shot off while being closely defended. You still have to rely on them to create to free up all the open looks for Pitts, Fitch, and Dean. Also I would really like to see Dean, Kelvin, and Christian crash the offensive boards more. Often times they are just standing around 15 feet away just watching. They need to get inside, box someone out, and get some second chance points. They will do it occasionally but not nearly enough.

Isn't that what torres is supposed to do? He is the POINT guard he is supposed to create open looks for his teammates. It's great he can score, but that's why you have those shooters who can catch and shoot, it's his job to get them open looks, and occasionally take it to the hole for a lay-up or knock down the 3-pointer. That team has plenty shooters not just 2 or 3 need to score for them to be successful. That's my 2 cents for that comment.

Yes thats what he is supposed to do. But when those shooters aren't getting open because someone is staying with them they have no way of scoring since they can't get to the basket. Thats when they must rely on Chris and Francis to penetrate and score and put up 20 points to keep them in the game.

It was...Anahuac grabs the ball out of the net and goes...they play a very fast paced game with pressure "d" as well...this style led to the relatively high score...good win by the Dogs as Anahuac won this one last year.

yea last year Anahuac really beat Nederland bad this year they came out to play good win
