Man, I HATE playing at LCM for 2 reasons... 1) they make the visitors walk all the way around the whole  stadium and go in through the home side to get to the visitors side (wonder why they don't open those other gates)  and 2) that awesomely obnoxious, biased announcer.  At least this year, there won't be too many "BEARS 1ST DOWNS!!!"

You could ride over to LCM with that old man that dresses like an indian and maybe him and his buds will cut the lock off the gate again like a few years ago that will really get you seated faster. ;D  Goodluck to both teams. P.S. PNG wins big.

LCM gets a boost by playing in front of the home crowd, having the announcer antagonizing the visitors and the scoreboard booming out that bear roar to keep the players fired up. Add that to the fact that everyone is saying that the Bears are lousy and so they have something to prove. Due to all of these advantages to LCM, I think PNG will only win by 21.

png

big

and some of uil's rules are completely rediculous

no praying before games? what the heck?

we always did when i played

and the announcer thing is kind of stupid too, as long as it isnt completely terrible

i mean, the announcer is part of the home field advantage...

oh and how is playin cherokee every 3 seconds worse than the guy saying "thats good for another bear first down"??

i mean leave him be, he doesnt get to say it very much, come on guys lol

having watched both teams closely this year.... i say lcm might pull off an upset... PNG has an overrated qb but a very decent runningback #7 harmon i believe... should be closer than everyone thinks!

How is Tatum overrated?

he isnt as good as everyone makes him out to be.... but he is decent... he isnt better than any other quarterback coming out of png in recent years

LOL, yeah I remember last year they were saying Tatum and PNG didn't have much of a passing game. I also remember how they beat L-Town, it was the passes, Tatum got a few good ones past our guys so don't count him out. He may not be a blue chipper but he seems to be effective. I just hope their squeaker against BH versus L-Towns out right win is a sign that Lumberton can pull it out on PNG in a few weeks when we play them in the 2nd game in their new stadium, what a bad spot to be in, at least we're not first.  :o

I usually dont do this but considering the inexpereince of LC-M I willl have to go with the Indians with so much time off I beleive they will be prepared. When the storms hit the Indians were starting to gel together. I think the power football will be to much for the Bears if they hang in untill the half in the second PN-Gs size and power will wear down the Bears. Goodluck to both teams and a wish for an Injury free game.

Let me add an emphatic "I AGREE!!!!!" to that.

I was in the band 2 years ago during that embarrassing loss. We redeemed ourselves last year, but now we need to make up for it at THEIR stadium. Let's shut them down and keep the announcer quiet.

One thing to add to your list though is their unfairly small visitor's side. By the time the band and Indianettes have seats, the stadium in a third full. :( Seriously....add on to your stadium. It'll cost a little money, but then you can sell more tickets.

With that, Indians 28

              Bears    7

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
