But yes I have no problem calling this a Donkey Stompin. King came in with a plan and executed it to perfection. North Shore has had a problem with penalties all season and it finally caught up with them. First loss to King in 10 years. Hopefully this serves as a wakeup call like the Summer Creek loss last year in the regular season. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
pakronos Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Although they have nothing to do with each other, I can now accept the Laporte beat down if East Houston can take an L OlDawg 1 Quote
1989NDN Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago I have a co-worker who has a son on CE King's freshman team and he told me that King could go toe to toe with North Shore and I laughed at him. I guess he will have the last laugh at the office on Monday. Quote
Papanez Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Although I picked NS, I can't really say I'm surprised about this outcome. Quote
Rob Corpus Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I think King has a real shot at a State Championship appearance this season. Quote
1970 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago It was a weird night. I kept an eye on scores, and early on, NS was behind and I was thinking about my pick-ums. I had CEK at first but ended up picking NS. Oh well. Edit: Not to mention Lufkin, and HF. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago C.E. King was added to an exclusive list with last night’s decisive win over North Shore. The Panthers joined Summer Creek as the only teams to beat the Mustangs in district play since 2017. North Shore is 61-2 in district games during that span. After going 0-10 against the Mustangs since 2016, C.E. King finally secured its first win over the defending state champions and is alone in first place in District 17-6A. Big Daddy Cool 1 Quote
