Does adding a girls sport means they have to add another boys sport too? Maybe its called title 9 that makes everything even between the different sexes. Idk just thinking out loud

I can tell you one thing, there will not be a main forum for it here.

Possibly a sub forum but that's it.

Beginning in 2028, is what I'm reading.  My oldest daughter ran track, and my oldest granddaughter played soccer, and I always enjoyed watching the games, and was always surprised at the speed for some reason, although I guess I shouldn't have been.  Similar to soccer, I can see speed being the name of the game for flag football.  Hopefully there will be some interest, but participation will depend on season timing. Lots of overlap with softball. volleyball, basketball, soccer and track.

They don't want fair they want to be treated special so I am sure they will not add a boys sport like volleyball.

Another note from the UIL meeting…

Starting next year, UIL will allow the broadcast of OTA (over the air), cable & satellite TXHSFB games on Friday nights during the season. THSCA voted for it to keep Friday nights for high school vs allowing college ball to take over Friday nights.

No more relegated to just streaming.

I would think being able to broadcast OTA and share revenue would make more ISD’s look into upgrading their stadium tech like the new Bulldog Stadium to make it easier for the networks to work with them for broadcasting purposes.

Fans don’t see a lot of it, but Bulldog is loaded with tech. I was able to see some when the stadium first opened. It looks like a tv station control room.
