Alvarez is Alvarez. Walker has been on fire. For me, Peña’s bat, glove, and speed on the base paths has been awesome to watch. Paredes has been great too. Did I just congratulate the whole team? rupert3 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Not much to say about today pitching was pretty good as Iami only made 1 mistake, a 2 run dinger as far as I seen and relief pitching was good. 2-0 and 1 mistake was enough. Just no hitting/scoring on Astros part. baddog 1 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted 54 minutes ago Report Posted 54 minutes ago For the first time since mid April, Houston's team ERA is below 5 (4.92). It reached 6.47 just 3 weeks ago. Pitching overall has definitely got better. On the flip side, Astro batting has taken a bit of a dive the last three weeks. Houston has gone from an AL leading (2nd in MLB) .267 batting average to a now 3rd in AL (11th in MLB) .244 team batting average. Astros have gone from averaging 5.7 runs per game to 4.4. I think the offense had to take somewhat of a dip with so many on IL. Pitching is doing about as good as can be expected with who they have on staff. Quote

Have you seen this? Quote

I have seen on X talks of trading several players, including Alvarez. I think Houston will wait to see where they are come trade deadline if they still have a chance to make playoffs. Houston's minor league prospects are very very slim. Most have been sent up prematurely because of IL situation. Those two would be the most likely to trade. Quote
