He actually went into the incident and I tried to stick to the laws that I think apply to the situation.

If Mayorkas was able to keep his job while allowing millions of illegals in, I’m not sure why Noem should be impeached for a split second decision made by an officer under duress.

To me, it sounds like they’re more worried about collective bargaining rights than the death of their member.

Like I stated earlier, the Federal Government is policy driven.  You break policy they will hang you out to dry,   Ten months until election is weighing heavy on those up for reelection.

Policy driven = CYA

While they may need to refine some policies, I hope they don’t allow the mob to think they can dictate—through illegal actions—policy. I think that would be a major mistake for everyone in the future about any number of issues.

Federal officers are often protected by qualified immunity, shielding them from personal liability for damages unless they violate "clearly established" laws, policy or constitutional rights.

Imagine that, if you didn’t violate the law then you can’t be personally sued.
