mfd814 Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago I was there in person. Some of the calls were absolutely atrocious. Yes they’re were some fouls that should have been called. But there were a lot not called that certainly should have been. Quote

Yes, HJ was called for more fouls but I can honestly say I didn't see that wide a spread in foul count. But I wasn't counting. HJ was definitely the more aggressive defensive team. Huffman definitely went to the FT line more than HJ. I was very surprised that the count was that lopsided. Just didn't seem like it was while watching. Aggressive teams will often have more fouls. But.. it's much easier to blame officials or assume that there should be an exact number of fouls/free throws by each team. Even though there are many factors that may influence that... other than "cheating". Elessar 1 Quote

And 4 or 5 for the second half. Quote
Kris_Gilmore Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Yes official. I am a Huffman coach but not basketball coach. I can go look at it but I trusted the source who told me the foul count. Quote
mfd814 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago It’s a moot point. I trust my source as well. Both teams were aggressive. Just happy the players did not worry about it and played till the end. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote

The comment was literally made about it being the "worst officiating I've ever seen".. followed by an extremely lopsided foul count.. which apparently wasn't even close to correct. I have bad news for you.. most officiating is equally horrible. For several reasons. Including lack of qualified persons... Anyone that can do a better job is free to grab a shirt and a whistle. If you're convinced of that being the worst officiated game you've seen, wait a game or two. However, games are shockingly poorly officiated to the fans that aren't happy with the results. What should one believe that the purpose of this conversation was? Quote

Well.. in my opinion (and probably several others), I immediately think that "that was the worst officiated game I've ever seen" is likely an excuse made by someone that isn't happy with the outcome of the game. Either a loss or a close win that they feel shouldn't have been. It's unfortunately becoming common to believe that someone is making excuses. . such as poor officiating. Quote
