Nederland led 54-31.

OF on a 23-5 run

Ned now leads 59-54

I believe Orangefield's weak pool games and then our matchup with Warren had some of our boys not ready for the rematch against Nederland. We came out flat as a team and watched a duel between Rossette and Scales at first, but then Nederland started getting help from their shooters. Once some of our boys woke up and realized the speed at which they'd have to play to win, the whole was just too deep. Great comeback, but not enough to get the W. Scales had 23 and I'm sure Rossette had close to the same. Great matchup again and we are really glad Dallas is ok and feeling better from the ankle sprain. Spoke with both him and Coach English after the game and there was nothing but respect and well wishes from both sides, exactly the way great competition should be.

#13 has played well against OF. Finishing through contact and shooting well.

I agree. Their district is a bit down as well but SP is clearly the best team.

#3 for SP is good.

3 & 11 are both real good shifty guards for SP, and their post 13 is very solid, he can step out and shoot it too. They just seem to loaf some on D once they get down some, and they dont seem to have any structure to their offense other than to try to go one on one to take shots. They should be really good in 2A though. they have the pieces, they just need to know how to put it all together.

I agree. SP is too lazy on defense. Also, no real structure on offense. Particularly when they get down. It's mostly one on one trying to shoot three's.

Big Sandy will give them problems in district but SP should win it.

As for playoffs, they will go DI. Being that they are in Region IV, hard to tell how they will fare.

They are fortunate that they are in IV and not III with San Augustine. Port Aransas and Mumford will be strong out IV.
