It's one thing to run into a team that's better than you, another thing entirely to be a town of less than 7,000 people and run into an AAU team recruiting from 13 districts and millions of people. Kowboy98 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago I can’t believe 409 guy Charlie B let this happen on his watch. I guess if you let Houston Strake Jesuit and Dallas Jesuit into the UIL, you have to give other private, parochial, or charter schools an opportunity as well. Dynamic Prep coming soon 😳 Quote

They were more than capable of beating FF. 2023 Lake Highlands won 6A and they had plenty of size and better guard play. 2022 Duncanville won 6A (later had to forfeit title). That team beat FF. Same as 2019. Duncanville. Point being, FF belonged competing at the highest classification while playing UIL. They chose not to play UIL last year and this year because UIL was about to lay the hammer down on the program. Looks like TEA may do it for them. Quote

I disagree plano east had one guy around 6’6” that has a zion Williamson type body. He was good but too small to match up with the multiple bigs at FF. Yes they had some solid guards, but I don’t think that would be enough lake highlands had Tre Johnson. BU battled them very closely. Yes they had 1 guy 6’9”, but not multiple guys (3 or 4) around his same height as FF did. I still give FF the slight edge That would have been a good game with Ron Holland and Anthony Black. I agree D’Ville would’ve likely bested them that year. However this is just different three years. And as I mentioned, they would have at least got two ships in 6A during their tenure in the University Interscholastic League. Quote
