Franklin 28 China Spring 42

Franklin had 2 turnovers that CS capitalize on. China Spring qb/rb duo is really good and the rb is a stud. They looked like the CS we are used to seeing. Franklin’s youth showed at times but they are going to get better.

I knew Bellville would need a near perfect game to pull the upset over Celina and for a half they did that… But starting the second half with a fumble on your own 20 and Celina scoring the next play was a recipe for disaster… especially with the caliber of offense of Celina. Then another fumble on the opposing teams 35 and you have dug too big of a hole. I’ll also say this… Everyone knows about Celinas 5 star QB Bowe Bentley but I think he can kinda overshadow how good their RB is. I know he has a offer from Lamar so hopefully they can reel him in because he is a stud… Good news is Bellville got out of the game injury free and wouldn’t have to see a offense of that caliber unless they make it to Carthage. Plenty of good to build on moving forward

Elusive playoff win “in recent years”. Keeping in mind that Yates had the single greatest team in Texas High School history.

Better than ‘83 daingerfield? Not trying to debate, I know nothing about the Yates team you speak of.

edit: never mind, saw someone else say the same and your answer further in the thread

15 Katy would arguably be best large school ever.

Yes, 1985 Yates = 5A (biggest classification at the time). 3A teams are very seldom better than the best of the large schools. If you know nothing of 1985 Yates, you are likely not versed on high school football in Texas.
