Thoughts? Lumberton isn't bad at all. I'm not sure why everyone says that. Vidor is potentially the weakest team in the district this year. I think Livingston is clearly improved but I wouldn't crown them district champs just yet but you better pencil them in as a playoff team. Their week 1 opponent was a very weak 6A school but beating Needville is a damn good win. I have no idea what to make of HJ other than they will be better than last year with vastly improved skill players who are dangerous. Bridge City will be a mystery until they play some quality teams that test them. Clearly the defense will still be stout. Did LCM's QB play last night? Can't really judge them at all until he is on the field. So far Liberty has looked below average and shouldn't be a threat in the district at all. Huffman's offense will score a ton of points all year even though they are down 2 of their top WRs right now. Their defense is the X factor in this district. If it's solid they are the favorites, if it slips it's up for grabs. I THINK the LaMarque loss isn't as bad as it looks because LaMarque apparently had 8 move in starters. Next week will tell more when LaMarque plays Hitchcock. I think this year will be a lot tighter than last. We probably won't see any undefeated teams. Quote
