I initially read that as Trump ordered the invasion. 

Then after reading it again, Maybe it was someone else - "trump's Daddy" - who ever that is.

So if you are saying Putin started the war - I would agree. 

If you are saying Trump has some sort of responsibility, I would disagree,

Putin is no doubt sending an message, he’s fixing to test Trump in a big way.

Personally, I’m glad Trump is there to deal with it.  Putin is a borderline madman that wants the return of the USSR and the KGB, it’s not gonna be easy.

But unlike some, I’m rooting for Trump.

Do you think sanction will work?  Also  is Senator Lindsey Grahams approach  a good idea.  I did see where Russia oil plant was struck causing a shortage in parts of Russia.

Definitely a message. Putin is a pos and very difficult to deal with. Zelensky could have had a deal months ago but he decided to throw a tantrum, like the punk that he is. Putin is always a nuclear threat so we have to be very careful. Let’s not any of us play ignorant here. Combined, the world nuclear powers have enough weapons to blow up the entire world multiple times over. Like LRF said, Putin is a madman and that’s all it takes. MAD does not phase him because he thinks WW3 is survivable. I too am pulling for Trump. This war is like a forest fire…..easier to prevent than to put out.

I have wondered for years why we didn’t make more of an effort to ramp up LNG exports to hurt Russia’s natural gas business.

Sanctions will work and Graham’s plan to put tariffs on Russia’s customers would seem effective but I’m not up on all the details of his plan.

It was no accident. 

He knows Trump does not want to go to war.  I think Trump would go to war, but as a last resort.

I think what may happen if Putin does not chill out, is he sanctions Russia into bankruptcy and throws 50-100% tariffs on anyone caught trading with Russia. That might temporarily screw up our economy, but I think Russia, after spending so much on the Ukraine war is not in a position to tolerate significant tariffs.

Why are you so concerned about Ukraine, now? When Biden was in office you said we shouldn't interfere.

Just a guess, but I wouldn’t doubt if he’s trying to coordinate with Europe. If he puts sanctions on that are really effective, the EU will get hammered as well because they’re still taking about the same amount of oil from Russia as they were before the war started. There may be other issues like this as well.
