His family are major LSU folk. All of them went to LSU. Grandpa, grandma, momma, etc. Grandpa and Grand Uncle were big athletes at LSU.

Kid has great potential, but that LSU connect is not necessarily about him.

Watching Bellville and Needville this evening. I’ll say this… in a couple years Bellville should be really good. Big freshman group and they are talented. Bellville is a good bit better than Needville on both freshman and JV… waiting for the varsity to start so I can over react lol

Kountze picked up two 1st downs and about 20 yards in their 10 plays.

Both defenses are well ahead of their offenses.

From reading, not a bad live outing for the lions.  Still hard to believe on 24 on the lines.

To sum up:

No team scored in the controlled part (20 plays each, 10 1st, 10 2nd). Kountze defense looked really good in the controlled part.

In the live quarters, HJ got 3 TD's, Kountze 0.

HJ moved the ball well after stalling on their first few drives. Kountze never could get anything going offensively.

Attrition set in in the last quarter. Lions having to play too many both ways while HJ was able to platoon on both sides of the ball.

One player for Kountze did stick out. #8 who plays DE is really good. HJ had problems with him all night.

I think Kountze has a shot at making the playoffs as long as that defense plays this well. 

HJ can also make playoffs but their offense needs to step it up.
