Man oh man hard to believe how this game was played but win 7-6 after blowing 5 run lead.  Baseball at it's best

Neris has not pitched well at all and now Hader in for tests with shoulder pain.

Arrighetti with an actual descent start tonight. Went 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on just 1 hit. He did walk 5 though.

Astros down 7-0 after six.

Seattle won tonight so they will be tied with Houston for first but currently have the tiebreaker with the head to head series lead.

14-1 loss. McCormick even got on the mound for this one.

Got Hunter Brown pitching tonight to try and win series and keep pace with Mariners.

Manager Joe Espada said Josh Hader's absence would exceed the minimum 15 days he'll be on the injured list.

Astros with the 4-1 win and get the series win as well.

Brown gets the win going 6 2/3, giving up 1 run on 6 hits, 4 K's, 3 BB's.

Boston out hit Houston 8-4.

Got scary at the end but Abreu saves.  Mariners in 6th tied 0-0

Great win. Red Sox swept us last time. Holding them to 1 run is exceptional.

Mariners lose (breaks 8 game win streak) so Astros up a game.

After a couple of tough starts in July, Hunter Brown has got it turned around. His last four starts: 1.88 ERA | 24.0 IP | 18 H | 7 BB | 20 K

Seattle loses today so Houston now up 1 1/2

Baltimore is probably hungry and we don't usually play last place teams well.

Josh Hader was diagnosed with a "capsule sprain" in his left shoulder and won't throw for at least three weeks.

So that means for at least the next 18 games or so, Houston will be without their closer Hader. Someone else will need to be the closer for a while. Might see Abreu move to that spot and have others be the 8th inning man.

If 3 weeks not throwing, he may have to have rehab sooo who knows.

When it rains, it pours. Need to score some runs and make it easier on our pitching.

I think that is the only way it is gonna happen.  You know Mariners are not gonna let up and we cannot hope for them to get beat every time we lose.  Just saying.
