Diaz dinger breaks up no no in the 6th and Paredes 3 run dinger wins.  Abreu scares me all the time but somehow came out of 2 on in the 8th.  Nice split.  I'll take it against a good Rangers team.  Hader save

Correct but way behind on the season.

Astros batting .250

Rangers batting .228

Pretty even I guess on most things.  Their pitching ERA is better than us.

But Astros are top 5 AL in both categories while Rangers are top 5 ERA but 13th in hitting.

Another comeback game.  Always nice to beat Tampa Bay 4-3.  King wins in relief.  Hader 12 th save.

Myers with the game winning HR. Cam Smith is going to be great. I really like that kid. Peña still producing. Great win.

Blew it tonight Okert gave up 2 runs in the 8th and Ort a sac fiy in 9th for 3-2 loss.

Walter pitched pretty good and was pulled leading 2-0.  Oh well.

3 dingers still lose 8-4.  Pitching not too good today.  Paredes 2 dingers 6 last 9 games.

Astros win a couple and lose a couple. Some days pitching is good but poor offense. Some days offense is good but pitching is bad. Sometimes both are ok. As of today 5-21-25 they are an average team 

Meyers, Pena, 3rd baseball are hitting pretty good

Main problem is they can’t find a catcher, 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, and DH that can hit. As of today Alvarez is a big disappointment as well as the 1st and 2nd baseman they aquired

Hopefully they will get it going

Well, Altuve made a liar out of me. I said he’s not a left fielder because he doesn’t have the arm. Tonight he gunned a runner down at home. The runner was slow, but the throw was on the money. Still like him better at 2nd.

AAW is gonna get me fr this but the stros stats do not match their inconsistant wins and loses.  I realize Abreou blew it but still they have to get more in the win column.  Injuries to the pitchers is a concern that.s for sure

I get it. Wins and losses is all that matters.

But I post the stats to show that if a team continues to be top 5 in hitting and top 5 in pitching in their league (also the only team in their division that can say that) then over a 162 game season, that kind of play will end up winning the West Division. 

Houston also has the best run differential in their division. 

Right now, the Astros just can't string wins together for whatever reason. I just think in time, this current play will pay off and get enough wins to win the division.

Now if Houston was playing in the other two divisions, they definitely would need to up their game some to make playoffs.
