While we have beat Massie to death....

He got in the way of Trumps agenda....

H.CON.RES 14 - only No vote by Republican

Full year Appropriations Act(Gov. Funding) Sole Republican NO vote

Big Beautiful Bill - No Vote

Mike Johnson Speaker vote - only Republican NO vote,

If your district elected Trump by a 36 point margin, you should be voting for the Republican bills that Trump supports - They are "representatives" of their peeps.

Vote on line item bills, problem solved.

Let each politician put his name on pork bills that drive up the deficit instead of rolling it all into one big beautiful bill with just a few things that are good for the country and the rest of it is 💩. It’s kinda like Nancy Pelosi’s famous line

Kinda like when Massie, MGT, Boebert and Mace was able to get the Epstein Files Transparency Act to be voted on. It put all politicians on the spot to vote for it and if they didn’t they looked like a pedo protector. It even put Trump on the spot to make him sign it which he didn’t want to because it would hurt some of his friends. But he had to sign or he would have looked like a Pedo Protector. Doesn’t sound like a good choice of friends to me. My point is by voting on line item bills it creates accountability of the politicians.

AIPAC’s X post about Massie and others they helped defeat in current elections is very interesting and informative.

Massie had also just introduced legislation that would have required groups like AIPAC to register as foreign agents.

No wonder they were upset.

We agree on that - I just think it is impossible

Presidents from both sides have wanted to do that with never enough support to make it happen

Of course why would the thieves get rid of their gravy train. Our government is broken.

Have you tried the Anasazi beans?

Yep. They're in my regular "bean" rotation ever since you told me about them several years ago. I love 'em! I usually can only find them locally at HEB though.

If you’re going by margins, Massie received 99.6% of the vote in 2024, and was so solid he ran unopposed except for a write in. So, I’d say the people he represented liked him better—or as well as Trump—at the last election.

This race was shaped by outside influence. All you have to do is look at the funding. Even Massie got less than 20% campaign funding from the district. Gallrein was less than 10%. Gallrein received more funding from AIPAC aligned sources than from ‘normal’ American PACs & donors.

Whether you like Massie, or not—and I don’t know all of his votes at this point—you have to admit this seat was bought and paid for by Israel. Even you have to admit that. They have no intention of losing their over $6 Billion/year of aid.

Read their X post. They even admit it, and appear proud of it. They happily list every candidate they took out that wasn’t supportive of Israel as much as they liked.

I’m not an anti Israel person. But, when a group specifically exists to lobby for a foreign government, they should have to follow FARA, and register as a foreign agent. No different than the crackdowns that have been happening against China, or anyone else. Now, the Admin is cracking down on Mexican Consulates for activities similar to AIPAC.

This is the hidden content, please

Would you be okay with LULAC putting in so much funding, false info & lies that Talarico was elected? I’ll answer for you. Of course not.

I’m like baddog, Massie, Marjorie T Green & others in that I don’t think a group that exists primarily to lobby for a foreign power should be able to contribute to our elections. I don’t see how anyone could think that would be a good thing.

You got to find something from outside the US to quote a Fox poll?  Show me the actual poll from the US!

It still exists just under a different name and don’t think Republicans aren’t getting any of that gravy.

Yeah they made a few cuts here and there but money laundering still exists.
Bigly!!!

What happened to All the DOGE CUTS? Still waiting on that DOGE check!

I don’t recall it being reported that the USAID money ever made it back into the Republican coffers.
DOGE, cuts were made where they could.  But the bottom line DOGE could only identify and recommend.  There’s enough blame to go around in Congress to not have taken the ball and ran with it!

Incidentally, I fall in the 55% of veterans who believe the war has to be seen through at this point in this latest Fox poll. But, it needs to be a full force effort. None of this half arse crap. Get it done with overwhelming force. Quickly. Justify it better to the American people.

Even though I may not be happy about it.

From the bottom of the article:  this Fox News survey includes interviews with a sample of 1,002 registered voters.

Only 1,002?  Likely voters sample is more accurate.  So…

I’m only reporting the poll. People can make of it what they wish. You should know I don’t take a partisan side by now.

I’m was making an observation based on something I don’t believe to be true.  And as for me, you should know by now that I’m not a part time conservative.

Is that the same poll that predicted a Hillary “landslide”? So many polls, it’s hard to keep up.

I don’t remember if a Fox poll ever predicted a Hilary landslide or not. I would say probably not. But, I’d be lying if I said I remembered off-hand.

Trump is a populist with some conservative leanings in social areas. Not in fiscal or government overreach areas.

Nothing wrong with that. But, that’s what he is.
