Not as bad as I thought it would have been.  Did Kirbyville close that gap a little at the end.  OF beat them by 23 not pressing.  Would have thought HJ would have been more.

Kirbyville rebounded and made some layups against HJ.  They actually played with a little intensity at times.  That is something they did not do against Orangefield or that game would have been a lot closer.  Kirbyville has a chance to upset some people in this district if they play like this in more of their games.  They have the athletes to do it but right now they lack the fundamentals and they make too many mental mistakes like not blocking out and making dumb passes.

They are athletic, seem like good kids.  One fairly tall kid hit several semi-contested 3s and had a nice stroke.  I think they have some talent to work with.  If they can eliminate about half their turnovers, Kirbyville could compete with, maybe even upset, anyone in the district.

Note to Kirbyville administration: That's a beautiful gym.  Please double the lighting-- it's really dark in there.

k-ville is horrible,just not alot of talent on the floor.

don't say there horrible..thats dumb..h-j has a lot of talent and they have been playing together for a long time...its not that kirbyville is horrible its just that they are not as lucky as h-j to have to talent they have....kirbyville has good shooters its just they're lacking the team chemistry and thats something that can be fixed....good luck kirbyville throughout the season and congrats to h-j for the win

kirbyville could be alot better but the only concern with their athletic program is football. They have football coaches that coach some basketball not any real basketball coaches. Kirbyville has also only played 7 games because they made it deep in the playoffs where as other schools in the district have played 15+ with the exception of WOS and maybe Jasper

i do believe in the forum rules it states that there will be no bashing of the athletes.  way to not single anybody out.  give the kids some credit.  they played a great team, and won't be the last team to lose to HJ by a lot in district play.
