I am not sure what your deal is but guess what, I really don't care. bobcat 05 do you even go to the guys games, one reason for the nomination for OF coach is that no one picked OF to do anything and they are in the playoffs. I agree that HJ and Silsbee coach have done a great job but they also probably have more talent as well. The OF coach had to do more with less. HJ won the games that they should have and OF won games and played games close that no one picked them to even compete.

Look back at your posts, it was implied that Silsbee had such an easier road due to Possible HJ/Navasota game which is still 2 games out. Lets not forget that OF is in the same bracket and has just as good of a chance as being there as well. Of course Silsbee would not want to lose a game for any reason but apparently you are not aware of something called sarcasm! Some of you sure are easy to get rialed up. As for heckler page, glead they have created it that way I know for sure not to waste my time trying to hear anything basketball related. Keep up the cheers though I am sure you all are doing a fine job. ;D

I will take the underdog role anyday. Last week the same people said that there was no way OF would beat jasper twice. They also said HJ would kill OF by 40 when they played the second time. So far I love their picks. Granger was All district last year by the way. As far as the athlete part, if you slow down the game does it really matter, then it comes down to disipline. OF by at least 4

maybe silsbee looked at the bracket, saw the easier road and just went out and played, I am sure that scouts were there as well why show everything that you have for a meaningless game, its not like both teams were not already in. It was just for seeding, so why not look for the better matchup? By the way Poppa I was at the game wearing my Hawks Pride t-shirt, kept looking for you at the concession stand was going to buy you a link and a drink just for good sportmanship.

My hats off to Jasper, Bailey reminded me of Kirk Gibson back in the world series, just a tough kid. It is hard to believe that kid is a soph. Spikes was lights out tonight and I really thought the Bobcats were through. Credit to every kid who touched the floor tonight it was one of the best games that I have seen in a while. Granger for the Bobcats was unstoppable tonight and you put the team on your back and carried it. You all showed that you could get it done now let's finish it on Friday.

I think Silsbee by 4, it will be an adjustment game for the hawks to get burrell back in game mode. Silsbee has been playing well and it is a neutral court.

the question is who else steps up for Jasper, Spikes is good but he can't win a game on his own. Chase him all over the floor and make someone else beat you.

To the HJ faithful, Lazeek, etc lets talk some basketball. Here is the first question.. Do you think that Burrell being out has made your team stronger for a run in the playoffs?

You are missing the point. Show me any other thread where the majority of the posts are about a cheer squad. I agree that the hecklers have a place, just not when people are trying to talk about the game, not what is going on in the stands. I could care less if a cheer leader is upset because of heckling, it has nothing to do with the game. If you think the hecklers bother the actual kids on the floor I think you are wrong, does it bother the people in the stands, always. It gets the other side fired up but has nothing to do with the actual game. I would much rather talk about why BC or OF slowed down the pace or that Silsbee is peaking at the right time. I think HJ has solid team but you cant talk about the actual game after the fact due to all of the heckler trash talk and how they went on the road bought a ticket and yelled for their team. On the way they also made everyone else mad and no one could be as loud. congratulations you are the best hecklers of all time now please let us talk about what really matters... the game.

I think discussing the game is great, HJ does have the 2nd best team in the district without Burrell. I am not sure that they are the best as Silsbee has been on a tear. Maybe the solution is to put the heckler talk stuff in a seperate category for pep squads or whatever. This is supposed to be about basketball not who can chant "take his whistle the best". Last time I looked the hecklers have not scored a point for HJ this year. I have not seen Burrell or the other team members come on hear and talk crap after every win or loss. 99% of the posts on here are about basketball and great discussions, you have very basketball smart fans and it is good to hear their opinions but it really takes away from it when a when a bunch of high school students just want to talk about the cheer squad and their impact. The impact comes form having a group of guys that play well together, are well coached and show class on the court. So maybe if you would learn to just read the posts and not think that everything is about heckling you would have more support than in just Sour Lake. I would love for someone to win it all from this area but because you antogonize EVERYONE it instead makes everyone turn against your team. Having gotten beaten by both teams this year I can say that I would support Silsbee in a heartbeat no matter what but i would support anyone else playing against HJ because you don't know how to act like you have been there before.

Those comments are why no one in this area outside of your hecklers will ever support your program and why they love it when you fail. Coach Sutherland is a classy guy, good coach, you could learn from the way that he conducts himself. Why do you think that everyone els on the board can get along with everyone else except for HJ carazies? Some of the folk there have great thoughts and posts but then it is all eroded becasue of cocky arrogant posters such as yourself. Grow up, learn from those in your area that understand and really care about your program.

Yall did good tonight pretty well behaved, the score board thing was from the last time. I thought it was a good clean game fun to watch, see we can all get along.

I was sitting right beside you, did not point to the score board, point to my butt or anything lude like what happened over there. I enjoyed the game as people should, I thought that the pacifier was a nice touch, had we of hit that last basket you could have used it on the way home. As for the OF fans, Coach Sutherland himself came by to tell us good job. All in all, you won,, it is bad when the home team shoots 6 free throws to the visitors 18 and we dont even press. Great game though, I will be anxious to see how HJ does in the playoffs. Definitely gotta get something inside because that is definitely not a strength.

It was already set up for Pat to replace him, definitely goes out the Knight way, no parade just finish the game. 80% graduation rate, program never in trouble and good kids with the exception of Isiah. These days it is hard to get 50% grad rate and the stories of kids being thugs off the court are the headlines. I would love to see him be a commentator, would never happen because of his contmpt for the media but it would be funny. Maybe satellite would be good for him.

The jasper and OF game will be a great game, two different styles comes down to who can force the other top play the tempo, the super bowl tonight was great example, ball control and smart plays, taking away the other teams strengths. It would be better if the bobcats could pull an upset this week though.

I think OF can do that. The first time these teams played Jasper was absolutely lights out in the first half, even the ball boy through in a couple threes. In the second half it was a different story. OF has their success by keeping the score an 50 pts for the winner. Both losses to Silsbee were close, 1pt at home, 2 pts on the road. The tempo is the key, they are not going to win a high scoring game with a run and gun tempo. That is why you cant just look at the scores and say they only beat a team by 15 pts. and Jasper won by 30. I agree you do have to shut down either Baily or The other kid but not necessarily both. Also, this time OF is healthy unlike last time, not an excuse because the way they shot in the first half it was just their night. I think it will be a heck of a game either way.

WOS and OF, OF has to take care of business in this game or playoff hopes could be gone, still going to come down to last game of season for the 3rd spot I think with Jasper

Great post Tiger, I agree and what is sad is the opportunity that this kid might have lost. I say kudos to the coach for sticking to his guns. After the Dallas incident with ineligible player it is good to see a coach have some backbone. D1 does not happen everyday and he will one day regret his actions.

To me that is part of the entire problem, we look at kids and say good job, way to stick to your guns rather that you selfish brat, look at how little you respect your coaches, teammates, and yourself. The kid had incredible talent but can't get his head out of his butt long enough to realize this is a team sport.. How many guys do you know that have the opportunity that this kid has yet he could wind up playing pick up games at the Y because he thinks he knows it all. What a waste of God given ability! Stick to your guns Coach Henderson!

I am anxious to see how HJ does, I think if they can get through it they can come back stronger as other people are going to have to step up. Also, WOS struggled but have been playing better as of late. The whole thing could come down to the OF/Jasper game on the last day. OF needs to start playing better if they are going to make a run for the third spot.

I was surprised, I did not think either team played very good, game of spurts, Robinson was big in 2nd half, think he hit at least 3 3's, will be interesting to see how OF plays Friday and if they can bounce back.  The Robinson kid is really good, team seemed to flow with how he played.  Very good game to watch.
