Nah. They always been small.

Remember when they played Central in 03? Good game.

Yeah it was great game I remember it was low scoring 10-3 or something like that with Bay City winning I think it was in round 3 or 4, Bay City had some battles with Nederland in the quarterfinals in the late 90s… that why I asking if they was ever 5A I remember these schools playing bay city but haven’t in some years.

This is the first ever matchup between these two schools Bay City is a school I have always wanted Kilgore to play in football finally get to witness this one. Both teams will definitely have athletes all over the football field Friday night. BC is fixing to see the best secondary in 4A this year. #4 led all 4A with 10 ints, #1 has 7 ints, #2 and #3 have several D1 offers they are only jrs this year too. #84 on the D-line for Kilgore is only a Sophomore and he is 6'2" and 270 lbs. Going to be a beast when he is sr.

The only negative thing on the Kilgore D is they will commit some bonehead penalties. A bonehead penalty is the reason for their only loss to they stopped Carthage on 4th down they got caught retaliating it gives Carthage a first down in which they ended up scoring the go ahead TD. Smart.... Smart... Football is huge against these good teams they will take advantage of small things like that to help their team win games in the 4th qtrs.

BC 18

Kilgore 42

Anyone have Bay City's QB stats for the year? And their offensive numbers?

Kilgore's QB is

Passing 103-162 1797 yds 17 TDS 4 int

Rushing 81 carries 759 yds 14 TDS

we have 4 rb's with each of them rushing for over 400 yds each. One rb has 10 TDS the other 3 rb's have 8 TDS between all of them.

Kilgore on Offense through 11 games 425 points scored

Passing- 103-162  1797 yds 17 TDS 5 int

Rushing-  290 carries  2445 yds 37 TDS

Defense has given up 167 points through 11 games.

Bay City QB unofficial current stats for 2023 season as per internet.

25 Passing TD's  2402 yds.

4 Rushing TD's

Bay City looks to be pretty balanced on offense. Let's see if Kilgore can get their QB uncomfortable Friday night. This is going to be the best defense BC will see this year.

Bay City kinda mirrors Chapel Hill some to me scoring a lot of points against bad defenses. BC lives on the big play on offense if Kilgore limits the big play on D I believe we can keep BC from scoring more times than BC will keep Kilgore from scoring.

I appreciate your enthusiasm but remember these are HS boys and if Bulldogs slip up those Black Cats are gonna make em pay never underestimate your opponent.

Looking at BC historical win loss records. Interesting how HS football goes in cycles. Won 10 or more 4 out of 6 years in the early 60s, then won no more than 5 games for 12 years in a row, starting in 1978 won 10 or more 6 out of 8 years with a state championship mixed in. 1990 through 2000 pretty successful. Five ten win teams and another state championship. Lot of mediocre to poor teams the last two decades. Seems like they could be turning it around again the last few years.

Fans can overlook teams all they want i can guarantee you our coaches and players never overlook teams. Well players sometimes will look past teams but hey as long as nobody puts their mortgage up on a bet on how HS kids will play football then have at it. This is how the fans get going and pumping their team up all week then some fans will cross their fingers and hope that these 15,16,17 yr old kids backup all his smack talking he has put out all week. At the end of the day the fans have no effect on the outcome of the games.

At the end of the day win or lose I will be on here congratulating BC I will always be a homer with my Kilgore Dogs every year in all honesty BC will need to play a near perfect game and they could use a turnover as well. Nothing negative or down playing Bay City as a team but Kilgore is the better football team this year. Does the better football team always win No they don't that's why they play the game but if BC just comes out and drives us in the ground and whoop us I will come back to eat every single word I said and apologize for being wrong. Hope both teams play injury free the whole 48 minutes and hope both teams have injury free practices too

    • I still can't believe SETX Lamar and SFA thought they would ever fit in the WAC. The logistics are incredibly bad. Couldn't they see that?

The guilty verdict issued hours ago against former President Donald Trump is a clear abuse of our justice system. This politically motivated and stacked trial is what we have come to expect in communist China or North Korea—not in the United States of America.   The totalitarian impulse of the neo-Marxist Left is to suppress and silence political opposition using any means necessary.    But here’s what we must understand: What just happened is not only about Donald Trump, and it will not stop with him.   The Left is not only waging legal warfare against Donald Trump. They are attempting to prevent half the country from having any say in the governance of our nation, and they have weaponized the legal system to ensure their success at any cost.    They are already using our legal system to go after pro-life activists and patriotic Christians who defend religious liberty. The Deep State is spying on conservative parents and churches, treating them like enemies of the state. They have even gone so far as to compare caring parents to terrorists.    The Left has repeatedly contested that conservatives are a threat to our democracy. Yet, they are the ones who are aggressively attacking our Constitutional Republic with blatant disregard for our fundamental rights. We cannot remain silent against such explicit tyranny.   Today's verdict is a clarion call for every God-fearing, America-loving Christian and our fellow citizens who believe in faith, family, and freedom to run, walk, or crawl, if necessary, to the polls this November. • Yup. Made our ISD get turf which I appreciate. 😁   But 2011 was better though.
