I hope he throws his hat in the ring in 2024.  The first few lines in speech show exactly what the Dems intentions were.  Sorry CardinalBacker, the Dims are a group filled with hate that had no intentions of working with Trump.  Their main objective the last four years was to impeach Trump.  Good governing by the Dems, wouldn’t you agree!!

The first impeachment was sham.... kinda like the one the Rs hung Clinton with.  Neither one should have happened.

This time there is definitely a reason to try him. He did it to himself over the last couple of weeks.  It's really unfortunate.   But it's not a made-up charge.  I think he gets booted if it happened earlier in his term, and I think he probably should be disqualified from ever holding office again. We don't need that mess.

I’ll take Jim Jordan’s opinion any day. What an intelligent man.

I agree with not needing the mess.  But, I still haven’t heard him say explicitly for people to storm the capital.  As Jim Jordan said, strictly political!

"Go down there and stop it" pretty much covers the bases for most reasonable people.

Especially since they immediately went down the street and stopped it.   "Fight like you've never fought before," etc...

Right?  If he'd have just been a man and conceded this all would have been avoided.  What a titty baby.  At least we agree on that point.

Right, as with Clinton and his impeachment that you eluded to.  Be a man, admit it, and don’t lie to Congress.  And yes, it all could have been avoided.

Why do you take this position? The 2A is about armed militia (us true Americans) so that we can repel a tyrannical government in the event of a (coup, takeover, war). It is our right as Americans to stop it. I hate it came down the way it did, but true Americans view the democrats as unAmerican socialists/communists. The fact that anyone takes up for them tells me they are communists also. No other way to look at it.

No, it covers it for you and the other democrats.

By reasonable people, are you including the mobs that rioted for 9 months?  I could understand them jumping to that conclusion, it's their nature.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
