GCM has never won a playoff football game. Should have beaten Central in 2009, but had some big plays called back and fumbled an option pitch inside the 20 (my son was the one who made the option pitc

That's part of the problem, but only as it relates to participation numbers and UIL classification. The two years in 6A set GCM back four years at least. Many of the better athletes left or focus

Yea it pretty much died out after being shot down last time. GCCISD and MOST of the city of baytown is ok with Mediocrity.

Mark Crooms would be my choice if I was GCM. I think he would want to stay there and could get some excitement being a Baytown guy.

To speak to some other topics in the thread, Baytown Lee had a good run from 1994 to about 2007. It was a pretty good, long run with a shot or two or three in there to make a run at the state semifinals.

I think the Ganders could surprise some people this year. They finally have a set of athletes coming together in close enough grade levels to be competitive.  I guess we will see.

It ain’t Babin.  I have heard there was 3 guys interviewed Friday.   3 interesting guys. 1 a Defensive Guy. 1 a Slot / Wing T guy and 1 probably a spread type of guy. 

Its pretty hush who is getting it so far but we will find out Monday night.

I was joking trying to get the Lumberton folk to sweat. I’m not saying Babin wouldn’t be a bad choice. You said wing T guy has to be Liberty Hill OC guy or Rob which he runs a double wing. Good luck, I’d like to GCM up and running good football

      It’s actually 2, 3 or 4 cents a mile, not 30 cents. It’s still funny. You EV drivers have to pay your equivalent gasoline tax just as if you drove a gasoline powered vehicle.  The current proposal is to have an electronic device placed on your car to track mileage. Surely that can’t be GPS because that would surely violate the Fourth Amendment. The state would literally know every location that your vehicle ever traveled. The other proposed option would be to take a photograph of your odometer and send that in. I can see a new cottage industry in odometer resetting devices or a quick disconnect where you can turn it on or off at will.

      Unfortunately, his polling is down as of this past weekend. Polls are fickle, and there's plenty more time, but I am skeptical. Just like I really felt conviction was eminent even though the case should never been brought to trial.
