Comey Admits Orchestrating Memo Leak!

No wonder the FBI wouldn't investigate the leaks.  Comey was one of them.  If you didn't see Comey testify, it cleared Trump.  Even Chris Matthews said, "Trump-Russian collusion theory just came apart with Comey testimony.

Loretta Lynch is the one who got busted during this fiasco.

Of course, he leaked the info, he didn't trust Trump and wanted to push for an investigation, What else when can you do when the boss is doing the wrong thing. Tell me what other options do you think he had? Trump asked the AG to leave the room, that put Comey on the spot and we all know that the Donald is not above lying.  :)

Funny how people can see and hear the same thing and come to different conclusions.

Yes it is.  Can you tell me why Comey, who becomes sufficiently "concerned" regarding conversations with Trump does not get as "concerned" when Loretta Lynch instructed him to refer to the Clinton Investigation as the Clinton Matter?

Okay let's call it a Trump Matter, It's just semantics, obviously he didn't feel pressure by her. Remember she didn't go after his job!  He didn't trust Trump with good reason.

Didn't feel pressure from Lynch? You're joking, right? Lynch was just the messenger for Billy boy, and we know how people who buck the Clintons end up. Yeah, no pressure.

He got fire for doing his job, that Trump wanted him to let go, that is the good reason.

As I text another liberal friend a while back, Comey was either very, very good, or very, very bad, because both parties disliked him.  There is some question in timeline and his leaks to the press that'll need to be clarified.  He said he leaked the info after Trump tweeted about having recordings, but "allegedly" the first leaks were in the NYT the day before that tweet.  If that gets cleared up, in his favor, it'll make Comey more credulous.  If the timeline is right, he may be subject to perjury charges, or at the very least, he'll lose all credibility.

There was one specific thing I disliked about him.  Every answer was worded like a politician. There wasn't a yes or no answer.  Those two words were always accompanied with useless (to me anyway) verbiage.  I believe one was, "Yes, as I sit here".  Now what in the cornbread Hades does that mean?  Maybe he's just been around politicians to long lol.

There are many terms or sayings for this phenomenon. On of my favorites is "rose colored glasses".

Brings back memories.  Hadn't heard that saying in a while, nor the song by John Conlee.

Nope. The NY Times clarified that it was afterwards

Welcome back Bg.

Now, about your post, is that the same NYT that has been publishing fake news stories?  Lol, before you blow a fuse - honestly, there's NO mainstream media news I trust explicitly.  All of them, including Fox, runs fake or wrong news all the time.  I wish there was a news source we could trust.

You do know that Comey has investigated the Clintons twice, for serious crimes?

    • Funny how “MAGA” is considered a bad thing…. The MAGA crowd….etc…. Whoever doesn’t want to make America Great should leave.
    • That's an interesting take, but considering that an incumbent enjoys a HUGE advantage historically, I think Covey came pretty close to an upset. I don't care one way or the other - the biggest reason being that I live in Hardin County. But I have to think the Trump endorsement got Covey that close in the first place. His only recognition was on a very local level, virtually unheard of before the Trump endorsement. Otherwise, he probably would've lost by thousands of votes instead of a few hundred. Just my observation.
    • I think the interesting point is this… Trump backed candidates do better when Trump is on the ballot. Back in March Covey was up by 3%, and that skirt from Jasper pulled about 10%… and most people believed that her voters would go directly to Covey. Conventional wisdom was that Covey would be up by 10-12 points if all things went according to the pattern from March. That just didn’t happen. Typically turnout is lower in runoffs than in the primaries, and my guess is that Phelan had fewer votes this time around than last, but covey had WAY fewer votes. A friend of mine has been watching a similar runoff in central texas, and the results were similar. The MAGA guy just didn’t turn out the votes this May.    My opinion is that a large portion of the support these Trump guys are just that…. Trump supporters. They’ll vote down ticket according to MAGA directives when Trump is on the ballot, but when they can’t vote Trump, they just don’t show up at all.

    • Then you should have known lots of people said the exact same thing when the alcoholic Democrat Ann Richards was elected way way back in the day. Texas has become redder and redder ever since. People, especially blacks, are waking up and realizing the Marxist Democrats are destroying them. Feel free to hold your breath waiting on your dream to happen though. That would be fun to watch, LOL.
