Porter vs. New Caney

New Caney has had a back loaded schedule and passed the first test against BH.  If you are Porter, this is the district championship.  They will be highly motivated.  I'd love to see Porter win this, but I will pick New Caney in a close one.  Still can't believe these two East Montgomery county schools are sitting at 6-0.

I got New Caney by 21.  Porter's only good win is against Crosby.  I think they are a good ball club but still need to prove they can hang with the top teams in the district.

I agree, I think New Caney wins fairly easily.  I also think Porter loses the next one to BH.  Just my opinion though.

quit worrying about classification...here's a good reason why. The worst lost calpreps has for WOS out the state's finest (THIS YEAR) mind you is ...ALLEN 35 WOS 24. Not saying that calpreps is the end all be all, but they have been pretty accurate so far this year. More accurate than people on a message board talking about it. Everyone ahead of WOS in this poll is 6A.

So Crosby is not a top team in the district?

I think there is a difference in being the hunter and the hunted.  My opinion is that Crosby's best player didn't play and overall the team over looked this game for multipile reasons.(i.e. just came off of a big blowout of BH, game was on a thursday night if I remember).  I think Porter has gotten everyone's full attention now.  This is just my opinion we will see how the game play's out Friday night.

Porter still has work to do but I still don't understand why everyone's underrating them so heavily. In district Porter and New Caney have played the exact same teams (Except Porter played Crosby and New Caney played Barber's Hill). Both teams won all their games and Porter beat a Crosby team that decimated Barber's Hill. New Caney even lost to Tomball Memorial before district, a team thats 4-4 and might not even make the playoffs. I believe it's going to be a great game based off of what I've seen watching these two teams, I'm just wondering why people are so reluctant to classify Porter as a good team.
