HurricaneCal Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Nederland has Neumann and that's the difference. They also have one of the bast competitors and true football players in the area. Still a lot of football to played and a lot can happen. Hopefully teams can stay healthy and there is 4 great playoff games we get to watch. Second round matchups though will be tough. Quote

tvc184 Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Right because i mean they didn't even want to win those games. #Excuses. Excuse for what, no one has faced each other in a playoff game yet? I think it was two years ago (memory fading with age) that Nederland and Dayton played a scrimmage in game like conditions for all four quarters. If I remember correctly Dayton handled Nederland fairly easily and "won" the scrimmage. I don't recall Nederland fans wanting to be outplayed by Dayton or scoring less. In the first round of the playoffs the same year at Lamar, Nederland handled Dayton without much trouble. Did Nederland fans want to "lose" (even though scrimmages aren't won/lost) or be outscored? No but that is what scrimmages and preseason are for. When it counted, it wasn't nearly as much of a contest. Are you saying that Nederland cannot beat anyone from 21-5A in the playoffs? Quote
