mytwocents-28 Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Not sure if that would be an upset. Why would PNG be favored in the game?Better offensive stats and defensive stats. And a better overall record. But that's just my opinion. Quote
NDNation Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 After beating Central, the "best team in the district", I would think Ned would be favored. Quote
Honest Abe Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Better offensive stats and defensive stats. And a better overall record. But that's just my opinion.Stats mean nothing. They are merely a gauge, IMO. Central beat us last night in every category except points, which matter the most. PNG has a better overall record, but I think that a record is only relevant to same opponents. So far, only same opponent has been Clear Lake. Going by the scores in those 2 games, PNG SHOULD be the favorite. However, I think everyone knows not to look at outcomes from earlier in a season and try to apply them in week 7. If you want to consider stats, 27 straight wins in district is a powerful stat. If Vegas had a line on the game, it wouldn't be many points for either team. I like your prediction though, Dawgs in an 'upset'. Lol! Quote

Honest Abe Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Speaking of stats, Texas has 232 total yards to 28 for Oklahoma, but OK is winning 17-10. Go figure! Quote

CThoops Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Not sure if that would be an upset. Why would PNG be favored in the game? Judging by the comments prior to the Central game, I could have sworn that PN-G was the clear favorite! My "upset" is Nederland winning by a touchdown B) jake94 1 Quote
