Forecast not looking good for playoff games this weekend

Recommended Posts

Calling for 70% chance of rain starting Thursday night, 80% chance Friday, 80% chance Saturday. Calling for 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain.

Curious to see how the coaches and teams handle this situation.

Look for many series to be played as 1 gamers.

Is it true if the game cannot be played by Saturday night that they flip a coin to see who advances

Not really. UIL usually allows the teams to play Monday to determine who advances. Would just be 1 gamers though.

Thanks...that's better than a dern flip of a coin...but then if you don't have 50/50 shot at winning maybe not a big deal...could be plus. LOL!

From what I'm hearing coaches are trying to get fields all over Texas.

I figured that would be the case.

Too bad the Astros are at home this week. They could have rented out the Juice Box for games starting at 9am till midnight, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. ;D

I think I am going to pack a travel bag when i leave cause no telling where I may end up when all is done. I think west is the way to go rain chances are lower. I remember one year I did a series between Ozen and Montgomery and we played at Roundrock Westwood because of wet fields.

Its pouring in Katy now.  Also hailing a little bit.  Its so dark the streetlights have come on!
[/quote]

And it still is!  any coach who figured on any of the Katy ISD fields as an alternative might want to strike them from the list.

it has cleared out now and the sun is out.  More rain around 9, 30% chance. Don't know how bad the fields will be though.

    • This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up From the article: “As a parent, then as a homeowner, if you have some equity in your home, then you can say to your child, you know, ‘don’t take out the loan,’” she said. “‘I’ll take out some of the equity to help you pay for tuition so that you don’t graduate with extraordinary student loan debt, and so that when you graduate, you can do your dream job.’” Essentially, Harris suggested that parents give their kids a leg up in the world by being the ones to take out a loan instead. Except theirs would have much higher stakes than just needing to be paid back — it could mean losing their home. 🤦‍♂️
    • Good luck and safe travels. Bring it home.
    • It has been frustrating seeing the lack of coverage from virtually EVERY media outlet.  We (Chester) are in the SE Texas coverage area.  There are no radio broadcast from our area, and Ch 12 is the only one that has even mentioned it.   I know I could have gotten donations to cover a SETX Sports broadcast.  Oh well, water under the bridge - we aren’t as big as Silsbee, WO-S or PN-G.
