  1. I am not trying to be negative. I love the game. I understand that as an adult I need to be positive. I also understand that most of the posters on this site are the players. My kids love this "beautiful game". We as parents/coaches have a responsibility to teach our kids to show good sportsmanship. I know most of these kids that regularly post on this site. For the most part they are all good kids - just talking smack, however there are a few that are definitely out of line. I am not worried about my kids comments - they know how to act. We have always taught them to do their talking on the field - not with their mouths. I do agree with you about all the negative talk on here. It is not helping our cause to promote soccer as sport that is competitive, and as physically challenging as football, basketball, etc. I am trying to do my part and also encouraging my kids to do the same.

I agree bout the football part of the Briggs talk. I was talking about the comment that he was not qualified for AD. Should be fun to see what takes place.
  3. UNBELIEVABLE!!! The same board that gave him his walking papers, hires him back?????? I think this will be good for SA but talk about an ironic turn of events!lol
  4. PNG is turning things around. That Thompson kid, you talk so much about, he has the skills to bring us to the playoffs. I just hope he has some back up next year. ;D
  5. well kfdm coop if you could stop the cussing and racial slurrs coming from what seems to be the central team i bet we could all talk soccer in peace
  6. Come on guys. I have sent warnings to 2 members on the trash talking. Let's talk soccer!!!!

Then we'll talk about the WISE decision that was made.
  10. What are you guys going to talk about after the 19th? Don't think I have seen a thread go on as long as this one!

I think there is two ways to look at this. 1) He got disrespected. Put in that much community time, you expect to at least be able to talk with the "higher powers." Or 2) a lot of times as a coach, if they have decided you don't meet the credentials that they are looking for, and they have a preconceived notion not to hire you, a "token interview" is more disrespectful than no interview at all..... Personally, I don't want an interview for any occupation, unless I have a shot at getting hired.
  12. Its good you dont post very often. You say you will put in a guy to break a jaw. Never mind that soccer is not football. Like you said most the vidor players dont talk the trash. But whatever you are in the vidor program, hopefully your mentallity doesnt play over into the teams play. Vidor is a good soccer team so try focusing on the soccer. Whoever you are get back to you monday night wrestling sit back and enjoy it. But soccer is a game of skills. Good Luck VIDOR
  13. I haven't posted on this site in quite a while, and I'm more of a basketball guy, but thats out of line. You come on here claiming Vidor has talked all the trash on Central and that they will get their due come tomorrow, when everone on this site knows Vidor backs up what they say. There have been a few non-players getting a little wild, but ask anyone on this site, the Vidor players themselves are very respectable individuals and play with heart. You are the one talking trash, and the way I see it you have no way to back it up. Your team is undefeated. So what? Who have you played other than LC-M, who you had to murder their goalies, by the way, to even beat? Whitewood had a sensible post about how you and your team possibly ended the career of a very fine goalie, and the only thing you do is tell him to shut up? Man you must really want to lose tomorrow night. Vidor plays very good ball untill you piss them off. Then they put this Whitewood kid in. So he has your number. You wont talk so much trash with a broken jaw.
  14. oh.... thanks, all this talk about co-champs and coin- tossing has confused me
  15. Vidor is alway trying to talk trash about Nederland and Mosley, last time i looked you big time player at vidor did not even make 2nd team all district. Coaches must have not thought too much about him, and I agree with him.......
  16. Can orangeman or someone else please explain to me what's the talk with the "coin toss"? Now, I'm not asking for any insider info, I'm just asking why would we want to participate in this, or why does BS want to? Just want to understand what is going on, so any info from anyone would be helpful.
  17. What does not playing basketball have to do with him telling us about coach Sutherland's 400th win...Think before you talk please...I love coach moses
  18. you cant really tell because you made a 2 hat tricks against WOS. He hasnt played a good time yet. And by the way LC-M coach needs to have talk with him about sportsmenship you dont score 2 hats tricks against team like WOS.
  19. wow goat im devastated.............. NOT!... i dont care if you talk noise on me cuz that dont bother me at all
  20. .... and these are the same women that complain because the men talk about Hooters....
  21. Talk about a government red tape and bloated rules and regulations. The article says that the Texas Parks & Wildlife issues 161 different permits, stamps and licenses. But wait, an assessment work group decided that there were 61 too many license, etc. If everything goes well, Texas will only issue 100 different types of licenses. What a break through that is! One of their responses is a $3 charge for the now free bonus redfish tag. That is to (their words) "cover the agency's administrative costs of issuing the tags". I imagine that. When you go into Academy and trade in your used redfish tag for a new one that is spit out on a computer printout by a minimum wage employee, it is reported to cost the TP&W $3. So it is done on a computer in about 15 seconds and it costs $3? I need to get into that computer business. At a rate of about $700 an hour, I am pretty sure I can cover the admin cost of the stamp. Certainly no red tape or hidden costs there. The article calls it, "an untapped revue source". Well duhh. If you want an untapped revenue source, why not charge for each type of fish that can be kept. Heck, they did away with 61 licenses. They could add a few back without much red tape. Just think, the license costs you $28 in freshwater but they could make it where you can only fish, not keep any. If you with to retain bass, that is a $10 stamp for the year. Catfish, bream and crappie might come in at a $5 stamp. Maybe they could even charge a $15 stamp for anyone that fishes in a bass tournament. The stamp would be good for the whole year of course. No need to buy a stamp for each tourney.. at least not for the first year when they realize another "untapped revenue source". Now that I am off of my rant, why don't they just charge us for a hunting, fishing or combo license. Why all of the silliness with the stamps and permits? If they need $40 per person instead of the current $28 ($38 for salt/freshwater combo), then just do it. Why the nickle and dime stuff where it looks like you are paying more or less by the fish you go after. I think they have all gone nuts.
  22. locker room talk is locker room talk......i have heard coaches say way worst things than that
  23. there is a chance we could talk someone into that here
  24. I would be me Sharkfut . . . . Thanks for your kind words . .. .The team has played very well. I think we are at 17-3-1 We lost thomas and St louis our rivals out of LA . ..
