  1. I don't think the defense has been that far ahead of the offense. Except for this year. If you look at the year we went the farthest the last couple of years we had a dominant d. Have you heard the saying Offense puts people in the stand but d wins championships? So what does that mean we haven't won championships so. I am going to start a new line on here I blame the defensive coaches. lol.....Could we just possibly talk about the kid and be positive. Bhfan everone knows where you stand and your opinions. I for one don't agree but we have heard it every time we have had a bad game. I am just asking. I dont want to offend you.
  2. Contradicting yourself??? You say WOS will lose to Silsbee. Then you turn around and say Silsbee will lose on their homecoming. Silsbee plays WOS on their homecoming. Hmmmmm???? You dont see Silsbee posters on here talking trash, because they are used to winning. Just like WOS. The people that talk the most are not championship caliber teams. Think about that.
  3. 1993 Bi-district playoff game: Cameron Yoemen vs Mexia Blackcats in Gatesville. These two teams had a little history that year. (Played in Mexia, the first game of the year. Cameron comes away with a 20-14 win, thanks to a Mexia fumble on the goal line.) There was a lot of talk, from both sides, through the media about the outcome of this playoff game. Mexia made comments about, "they (Cameron) got lucky in the first game." "We are going for the throats this time." Cameron was being Cameron. "We will play hard and see what happens." Here's how the game ended. The Yoemen kicked a field goal, in the 4th quarter, to tie the game at 12. Mexia has the ball on the the positive 21 yard line. 4th and 1, 12 seconds left. No time outs for either team. The Blackcats need one yard to get the penetration that would tie it up and give them a victory by first downs. (the second tie breaker) They run off left tackle and the ball carrier it tackled by the defensive end. Players are gathering around as the referee's spot the ball. Too close to call, out come the chains. The chains are stretched, short by 2 inches. The Yoemen go crazy. Game ends 12-12 and the Yoemen advance on penetrations. That's one game I will never forget. Mexia was huge and ran the wishbone. Very physical game that night.
  4. KVBalla You are one to be calling someone "crap talking." That's all you've done on here well...........that and make excuses for losing. I just made a comment on your QB. I wasn't bad mouthing him just made a point that he definitely was not the reason for your loss to WOS. I think everyone would agree. And we are looking forward to playing Kville. That aint crap talk either. There is a battle for the playoffs & we are in the running.
  5. Check out the Baytown sun forum it is under the baytown talk they have a good one going on under the sports section.
  6. How much impact has your new Offensive Coordinator had, and does he get any credit for this success? I know I've watched #7 for 3 years, and never really heard anybody talk about what a gamer he was - A good player and QB, YES! But he's really getting some good PR this year. Is it because of a change in Offensive schemes? The OC is a GREAT GUY! I'm sorry he didn't get more of a chance at BC! I know I miss his interaction with MY kids! They would have done anything he asked them to do! I wish him nothing but success! and I wasn't picking on #7 - He's a great player and a good kid ...
  7. I agree that respect has to be earned. It is something that has to be done each week. I will not talk smack "unless provoked" against an opponent we are playing that week, nor will I predict a score. Somebody said we will beat BC well I hope so. Right now BC has our number and until that changes (I hope it is this year) they still have our number. Kvilleballa has been talking (if thats what you want to call it) alot of smack on BC and really every team in the district "fuel for the fire baby". I know it all in fun but thats not very smart beause anything can happen on any given night. BC has had kirbyville number the last few years and it has not even been close. Until that changes talk is cheap! No matter what happens this year I will always be proud of our kids because they never give up and fight till the end, even when the deck is stacked against them. We believe in the bobcats!!!!
  8. Well, Im sorry, but Silsbee will need much, much more than intensity to beat WOS this year. I respect Silsbee, and will not talk trash on them. I just hope they dont pull a K'Ville and start talking trash. Its pretty embarrasing for K'Ville fans right now. All I can say to Silsbee is WHY OH WHY would you schedule WOS on your Home Coming????? This WOS team is one of the most impressive in years, maybe a Decade!!!

  10. Yep, this team is VERY fast! Emonarch -- Great to meet you at practice the other day. Now let's just talk Coop into coming.
  11. I can't believe how someone who has attended more than a few BH football games could even think to criticize our coaching staff. That just baffles me. The comments that we have these great players and don't do anything with them are just dumb. We do not just have great outstanding athletes here! That should not be difficult to understand. Our players get to be good football players through hard work, great offseasons (that those stupid coaches you talk about put in), and we do things right (also due primarily to those coaches). There's a reason we very rarely have kids going on scholarship to the next level, and its not our coaches fault. They put in hours upon hours of breaking down film so they can make the quick decisions they do on Friday nights. When you get a clue about what is actually going on with the X's and O's, then bash these coaches that have won something like 62 games since '99.
  12. You sho right, talk is cheap. Silsbee never impresses me cuz!! Yall wish Orangefield beat Kirbyville. Like i said before when Silsbee get past the first round if they go. I'll be so impress. You can't compare no Orangefield game with us. Hardin Jefferson and Liberty destroyed Silsbee last year, if you want to compare. Silsbee may improved from last year but don't seeing do much like everybody predicting. End of discussion!!!
  13. this friday lumberton will get to see Brandon Williams do his Vince Young IMPERSONATION. THESE L-TOWN & VIDOR PEOPLE KILL ME,between the two schools they have 3 playoff app. since 1940{VIDOR},several 0-10 seasons, and no winning tradition what so ever but they smack their gums the most with nothing to back their talk up with. if B. Williams was on l-towns team pimp smack would be saying he was better then VINCE YOUNG.Show some class and give the kid credit he his the best QB IN the golden triangle. BRANDON WILLIAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK-10 CARRIES 205YDS,200YDS PASSING 4 OR 5 TDS,I LOST TRACK THERE WERE SO MANY.
  14. ballea you need help guy !!! all you talk about is newton! i believe you are just a secret newtoneagle fan, anyway if you loose against orangefield you might as well start going to newton games because you will be at the house for the playoffs.
  15. Some smack is ok, but when folks come on and talk about players quitting and talking bad about a school you can't do that. Especially folks by name.
  16. You are the one doing all the talking "kvilleballa". Talk is cheap.
  17. Bumblinbears Need to go to a smack site if your going to talk like that!!!!!! We know you don't like LCM, please move on to another subject.
  18. B- bears O-over rejoicing J-just O-one Its one game guys, not the state title... get ready for big ned, ozen, dayton, and vidor. beat these guys then talk, but dont start pounding your chests over just one lonely little win!!!!
  19. i agree partially with the above post, with the exception of the comment about the young man and his teammates who decided not to play. maybe if these guys had decided to buy into this ridiculous, stolen, battle cry we might be talking about the bears and a district championship instead of ONE win!!!! beat dayton, ozen, vidor and big ned and then lets get excited and talk, but not until then..... B- bears O-over rejoicing J- just O-one

  23. The Game brings things into focus By Doyle Barlow Baytown Sun Published October 8, 2006 The 40th anniversary of The Game is in the books, and as the sun rose Saturday morning on Lee’s 34-7 win, several things were just as clear in the light of day as they were following the carnage Friday night at Stallworth Stadium. First and foremost, one fact is crystal clear: Lee is a pretty darn good football team, and they’re getting better every week. The offense is explosive, as it usually is at REL, but what you’d better not sleep on if you’re a Gander opponent is the running game. REL held a 21-7 halftime lead on Sterling Friday night, which they increased to 28-7 on the first play of the second half when Fred St. Luce returned a fumble for a touchdown. What ensued after that wasn’t typical REL football, it was a game of keep-away. And with junior running back Jarvis Moore, the Ganders have the ultimate weapon to play that game. Moore rushed for145 yards Friday night, with 92 of those coming on 15 second-half carries. Meanwhile, REL attempted only six passes in the second half, and only four of those were by starting quarterback Octavio Torres. Kevin Craft threw a pass on a fake punt, and Moore threw the other on a halfback pass. Only having six attempts is unusual. There have been games when the Ganders have had that many attempts in their first drive. Being able to run the ball like that is a luxury, and it does something else — it gives the defense time to rest. Which brings us to what I think was the biggest storyline of the game, the Gander defense. REL defensive coordinator Mark Crooms was concerned all week about Sterling’s ability to run the football with Jason Tanner, Stephen Guillory and Manasah Davis behind their big offensive line. And when RSS ran for gains of 12, 10 and 8 yards on their first three plays, I’d be willing to bet that Crooms was sweating bullets. But then, just when they needed it, the defense made a couple of big plays. On second-and-4 from the 42, Reggie Butler tattooed Davis on a sweep to the right side, and then on third down, St. Luce hit Davis for a four-yard loss on a completed pass. Those two plays forced an RSS punt, which REL would turn into an 86-yard drive and a 14-0 lead, and they also established the defensive tone for the night. The Ganders would end up giving up less than 100 yards, with Sterling’s only points coming on an interception return. Which brings me to another fact: the Ganders are legitimate contenders to win the District 21-5A title. Right now, Beaumont West Brook is probably still the favorite, but they’re hardly invincible. The Bruins defeated Kingwood, 30-14, Friday night, a week after REL defeated the Mustangs, 32-16. The Ganders play West Brook this week, and will have the added benefit of having the game at Stallworth Stadium. I firmly believe that whoever wins that game will win the district. What about Humble, you ask? Well, ever since losing quarterback Keith Baker a couple of weeks ago, the Wildcats have looked mediocre. They had 0 passing yards in and needed a defensive touchdown in a 17-7 win over Sterling last week, and this week, they trailed Channelview, 10-0, before rallying for a 21-0 victory. As for the Rangers, I don’t know what to think. Do I think they have the talent to win four of their next five games and get into the playoffs? Yes. Do I think they’ll do it? I don’t have a clue. This is a team that had tremendous participation in their summer and offseason program, and it would be a shame to see all that hard work go to waste. But it’s also a team that had a handful of players sit behind the Lee bench during the Ganders preseason scrimmage with Galveston Ball and talk trash about how bad they were going to beat them. As we know now, that didn’t happen. RSS still has time to salvage their season, but it’s time to let their actions on the field do the talking.
  24. Dayton players play clean and they dont talk any more trash than anyone else. Now Dayton will not back down to anyone. Good luck next week.
  25. I wish our rivals luck to knock Daytons record down a bit. I fear for them though because we played very similarly last night and I am afraid they will do the same to you that they did to th Raiders. If you want a chance, dont be afraid of them at all. Dont make any mistakes because they will capitalize. and dont listen to their trash talk. The fans are great but the players talk very dirty.
