hey bleed orange why dont you get ur facts srtraight before u talk anymore his youngest daughter will be a junior next year but he has a son that will be a freshman and yess HJ has not done good in the playoffs the past few years but if they play to their potentail and not like friday then they SHOULD have a deep run this year

bleed orange...........you need to shut up and have some respect. HJ is no Kountze? Kountze has accomplished most of what they have accomplished in 2A. Nothing against them because they are a great program but they did no more in 3A than HJ has done. Whoever you are you need to retract your statements about sutherland and his family. It is one thing to make comments about a team but to talk of someones family you must have no heart!

Coming in to high school Brodie Parker was as good a young power hitter as I have ever seen.I know he had some shoulder injuries that were corrected by surgery.I saw him hit 7 or 8 out of the high school park as a 14 year old.Not sure when he lost his stroke if in fact he has.I haven't seen them play lately so I really can't say.I do know there is a lot of baseball talent in Warren,I think the new coaches need to talk to all the kids and let them know the program is going in the right direction.The downward spiral in this program started a couple of years ago and won't be corrected overnight,but it will be corrected as long as they leave the young coaches alone.Good luck Warriors on the upcoming season.

Whats all the talk about, HJ has been talking all week long about WH backing down, not wanting to play. Well I will have to admit I saw all 3 games tonight and all 6 teams showed alot of class. But to tell you the truth, I wished that WH would have played HJ, cause Newton looked like they gave them a run for their $$$$. I've always said any team can beat another on any given night. Tonight WH did not prevail, but they did get some good work in. Got pressed most of the game, and had to deal with the big guy on both ends. That in itself will payoff down the road.

I have really enjoyed the talk on our game tonight. I want to comment on just a couple of things. WH backintheday (something like that) Thanks for the compliment "he's a great coach, but so is Fuller." I do appreciate that from an ex player. Email me if you want. ([email protected]) I hope I didn't make you hate me. I was hard at times. You said I was a little nevous about playng WH. I am real nervous about playing West Hardin. I know how good these guys are. We play Splendora Wed. and that are very similar to the Oilers. I want everyone to know that I have nothing but respect for Coach Fuller andhis team. I have known Tyler, Brandon, Matthew, Zach , and some of the others since they were in the 5th grade. This has nothing to do with coming back and "beating" WH. They may very well beat us. These kids were my favorites at WH. They came to my camp and I knew then they were going to be players. I look for tonights game to be a great high school game. Either team could win. If we lose, (I hope we don't) I will feel great pride for the boys from WH. They are great kids and Coach Fuller is a great coach. Lioke most, I hope for a game free of injuries and wish everyone luck in th eplayoffs. When WH makes it to Austin, I will be one their biggest fans. Thanks. See everyone tonight. Doug McCarter

end of story?? End of a fictional fairy tale thought up by a hallucinating Kountze fan..errr.. kid. You're right, it should come to an end. There are some great teams in this area. Kountze is one of them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kountze and EC split. HJ beat EC 2 out of 3 times. I don't think its very fair to say there's no way HJ could beat em. I think it would be a fun game to watch, but its hard to talk smack about what if. Especially if you're the only one who see's it that way.

If they are recruiting Pickering, maybe they ought to try her teammate and try to get Wilson as well. If they are going to be able to compete and fill the stands for games they are going to have to recruit local talent and as bad as most Orangefield people hate it they also need to talk to their Girls Coach and get her to move to Lamar.

Spread, power I, wishbone, etc.....it doesn't matter! I've heard nothing but good things about Coach Stump, but he's still going to need athletes.....It's not always about the x's and o's. Also, when in the world is this BC talk going to slow.....? It seems as if their as popular as Notre Dame or Dallas? Geez....

Good Luck tonight Oilers.....Play your game like you did against BS and you can take this 3A school...No Matter what you still are #1 to your fans and thats all that matters... Like I said before its just JEALOUS talk on here because yall are the talk of the town and they cant stand it..... so go play your game, do the best you can and know your fans still support you and are proud of you.....GO OILERS.

I don't think anyone has a problem with HJ rollin up in here tryin to represent.... I think the problem comes when the bashing starts on other schools. Especially the childish remarks and the cheap shots. We all have school pride, there's no doubt in that. If we didn't, we wouldn't spend hours on this website talkin noise and arguing our points.... so what's my point??......... All I'm sayin is, if I started talkin too much trash about HJ, my karma would be so low, I'd have to look up to see down, cause there's a lot of you hawk hecklers on here. he he.. So if you talk noise, expect feedback. Probably argumentative. Nobody wants anything bad said about their alma mater.... Just keep that in mind fellers. Good luck in the playoffs.

I think the administrators should be able to extend warnings, suspensions and expulsions to people on this site. This school pride is great, but jeez!! don't give out your numbers on this thing, and expect someone to actually call and the two of you chat over a cup of tea, like old chaps.... Yes you can talk all the trash you want in support of your team - I also agree that if you talk smack and your team loses be prepared to take it as well. Howver, supporting your team is not the same as badmouthing another team that you may or may not play. Every boy or girl that plays High School athletics does the best that they can - You don't need to make fun of them.

It is perfectly fine to support your school. I have been doing it since I graduated in 1991. I never take anything personal on any board. But some people don't take trash talking very well. And if you dish it out and lose you better be able to take it. HJ has alot of fans that are dishing it out pretty heavy right now (more importantly to teams that HJ is not even playing) so they better be ready if/when HJ loses!!! Hopefully HJ will be able to talk trash til the cows come home, but just be prepared if they don't!!! One other thing to remember is to never take anything personal on here. These boards are here fo rpeople to voice their opinions. That is what everyone is doing!!! Keep it up and continue to support the Hawks, I am!!!!

TIMEOUT........Please what ever the out come of this game is dont hold it against WOS. Majority of the posters are HJ fans. Im sure you alrdy know, but i hate it when peeps say o look and guess were the best......dont hold it against WOS. this is about hj fans...i know we talk alot of mess on this site but its just for fun and its weird cause nobody takes it as a joke they want to get all serious about it were just doing it for fun.. so when we say stuff like hj dominates all or hj going to state... yea we hope that happens but were just doing it because its funny and everyone is gettting madd.. were just having a little fun

It was only a few years ago that Brookeland 1A beat the 3A powerhouse kountze in the YMBL tournament and went on to win the thing. Not sure, but I belive kountze may have beaten the all mighty that year too. But Brookeland didn't play anyone that year. :-* This thread should be deleted, or there should be a trash talking area on this forum. Or better yet, an age limit on this thing. What is awful is that I love the Hardin Jefferson team. I'm glad they represent South East Texas. They do consistently have great teams, but don't talk trash off of what-if. And don't be a sore winner, or get mad if the spotlight is occasionally on other teams. Being cocky and arrogant reflects on other things that aren't sufficient in our life. Just think, the majority of the people on here talking trash are older folks talking trash about high school teams or kids that aren't even playing on the team. Do you not have anything else to be proud of in your life?? so much so that if anyone else seems to take a little of that glory, you get offended and start thinking of ways to down them... Brandon Letsingers long distance shot against Big Sandy as the buzzer sounded. Not a game winner, but pretty good none the less. Lazeek, I think there should be alot of talk about HJ, WH, Kountze, EC. Just not the banter of downing one to lift another. I think all of the above listed schools have had wonderful seasons and should be recognized. I know there are a lot of WH people saying alot about our season; but remember, WH has been the doormat for so long it is nice to be a little farther up the ladder for once.

Be careful SETXSLAM this is not a HJ board only!!! The natives might get restless if we talk too much about HJ. It was an incredible shot and the air got sucked out of the gym when it went in.
