Well said.
In the scope of life football doesn't rank real high when it comes to things like education, world peace and the price of gasoline. But, when you live in East Texas, work for ExxonMobil (the more they sell...), have a son playing HS Football it ranks pretty high.

I agree everyone gets better, usually. But, you gotta admit there ain't nothing wrong with a good start.

I feel like we will make the playoffs.
I am not sure what went wrong but I think the poll is not working right.
I think a yes vote shows up as a maybe vote as well??
My Uncle coached in Deweyville for years, I have heard about real East Texas football and all the teams we will be playing this year, all my life. I am excited that we are apart of that now.

Teachers are definitely more important! I was only trying to say that when you divide the pay by the actual hours worked it probably is not that different (on average). Just like anything else there are always gonna be overpayed people.

I would like to see the diference in hours worked for the year.:?:

I agree, anything can happen (injuries, referees, good breaks, turn overs). I am glad we are a part of a more competitve district, Iron sharpens Iron. It should be a good year.

I would like find out where Dayton ranks in the minds of its new competition. Do ya'll (Vidor, LC-M, Nederland, Lumberton, PN-G, Beaumont Central, Beaumont Ozen) think we can be competitive?
I know this could get bad but, I am hoping for real input here.

I will admit, it almost got real stupid, but I promise you, you didn't miss anything.

It got a little out of hand but, I don't think there were any punches thrown.
Two players got in a little scuffle, when the smoke cleared all you could see was a Montgomery Coach screamin' at a Dayton player. The Dayton Coaches didn't like that, and a heated discussion took place. They finished out that quarter of play and Montgomery walked of the field.
