1. Our #1 priority right now is a strong, bracket pitcher. We have one pitcher with several years of experience, but need to add one more strong arm to our roster. Please contact us for practice/tryout information.
 2. We are excited to announce that a new 12U '01 team is being formed within the well-known Bayou Bats organization. The Bayou Bats currently have a very strong 14U team, and we are looking to carry on a strong tradition. A small number of positions will be available this fall, including a strong bracket pitcher. Open practice times and dates will be posted soon. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact... 3. PNG went 1-2 in pool play yesterday...lost to Willis and Cy Fair and beat Cy Creek. Cy Falls and Rosenberg Terry qualified for the state 7 on 7 tournament.
 4.

You sound like your infatuated with PNG. You honestly post on every PNG thread. Doesn't matter if its Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis....etc. If you want to come to a Football game next year and sit on the PNG side please let me know, I have a couple extra tickets.
No its just so easy to get yall worked up that i can't help but mess with yall.  8) And i'll pass on the tickets. If i wanted to watch a subpar football team i'd go watch lumberton.  ;D
Or just watch Vidor next year without Montana!
 5.
11-1, 8-5, 7-4, 2-8.  Like I said -- down hill.
I beg to differ Smitty. This past season was bad we will all agree, but his second season the team went three deep and gave a huge Manvel team all they could handle. Third year we lost on the toe of a once in a lifetime kicker. His playoff record is 3-3 (not bad). Also he has had good coaches on staff that have helped to mold solid programs at the Middle Schools, which I think we are starting to see payoff now at the JV and Freshman levels and most of us expect to see on the Varsity level beginning next season.

Smitty...keep this post for your records and see what you're writing the next 4 years.
 6. Are there any softball camps in the area that 10 year olds can attend? The Lamar camp is for ages 13-18. Any info. is appreciated.
 7. If you want to put your daughter in the best school district with the best softball program for future years, you need to move to Port Neches-Groves. There are several travel teams in the area she can play with, but PNG is the best district around SE Texas.
 8. Another web site is claiming that John Ward is the new head coach. Any truth to this?
 9. Bb
It does not matter how long a player is down on the field you should respect the other team as well as the player down and put a knee down. Its common courtesy. That shows you how much class some high school football teams in southeast Texas have or don't have. Not kneeing down for a player is like not taking your hat off for the national anthem.
Blackrose...I hope you realize how stupid your statement is...taking a knee when someone is injured is not remotely close to not taking your hat off for the national anthem...that's the dumbest comparison I've ever heard of. How is standing during an injury disrespectful? PNG is doing nothing wrong...get over yourself.
 10.
Bottom line is Coach Faircloth is a look at me coach who wants to be different than everybody else. We get it, he doesn't take a knee on injuries, he doesn't line up on the fifty to shake hands after the game. He calls timeouts when the score is out of reach to try and score again. I really do not have a problem with this at all.....but all this comes around at some point and time.
Again...watch football on Saturdays and Sundays...who lines up on the 50 to shake hands? Another 'soccer' tradition too many people around here choose to uphold. When did he call a timeout to run up the score? You're pretty ridiculous, tupac!
 11.

png hasnt taken a knee since faircloth got here and its not going to change.i think everyone in the district knows this by now.
Like I said, Classless!!
Beargrowl...watch a college football game on Saturday or an NFL game on Sunday...please tell me how many football players take a knee when someone is hurt. Do basketball players take a knee when someone is hurt? Do volleyball or baseball players take a knee when someone is hurt? That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of! Maybe PNG has it right, and everyone else should stand up when someone is hurt. Let it go!
 12. There are some rumblings from bulldog country that a couple of players may have gotten into some trouble last weekend...anyone have confirmation to this rumor? This could be bad for the dogs!
 13.

PNG          31 Texas City 28
I dont understand PNG Defensive philosify. First we never Blitz, we dont even get in a Goaline Defense when our opponent has the ball inside the 10 yardline about to score. Its plain old sit back and let the other team run the ball down your throat Defense. Our DC needs to be more aggressive take some chances and get our Defense off the field quicker in the up coming games. And can anyone explain why we didnt go for the 2 pt conversion when the score was 28 to 23 ?
Maybe your username should be "half indian/coach" since you know so much about what the PNG coaches should be doing. They're the ones that watch film, game plan, practice with the kids, etc. Let them do their job and shut your mouth.
 14. Congrats to a great coach and an even better man...Coach Hancock deserves the good things that come Dayton's way.
