No however to say he wasn’t he a contributor would be inaccurate

Or maybe it is absolutely accurate. Maybe Jones Came in last year. Joined the staff as the JV coach and felt chided that he was not used as anything more than that. Maybe he felt like He should have been consulted more on the decisions that were made by Bennett. Maybe they made it all the way to the regional finals with very little input from Coach Jones at all. This causing a major rift between Bennett and Jones. Then this year after Jones gets hired as AD/HD FB coach he decides(along with some in the community) to put Bennett in his place if you will, by reassigning him and taking over because they didn't get along, and he believes he could have done a better job. Maybe just maybe it could have played out just like that, or maybe it didn't who knows? I have seen Coach Jones coach and there is no doubt he is a good one. One of the Best. I don't think him taking over is the issue. He will have the kids ready. The issue is Jones and the powers that be went about this the wrong way. Not that he or any of the concerned citizens of Kville care about that. But I do know that under Bennett's leadership Kirbyville went from a 3-24 record to one Game away from a State Championship in 6 years. The good ones are always going to piss a few people off along the way, Just ask Jones about his PG days, and as a coach you have to know when to move on. And it was probably that time for coach Bennett. That being said Bennett deserved a better exit. He earned a better exit than to be reassign in the middle of the season for no reason except some people did not like him or the way he ran his program. Good luck to you Coach Bennett you will land on your feet. And good luck Coach Jones and Wildcats go win it all Those Kids Deserve it.

  2. In Texas we play by the NFHS rules. In the NFHS rule book it states that an athlete has to use a BBCOR certified bat. This is what constitutes a BBCOR BAT.

  3. With the high school average being 16-18 pitches an inning, That puts him between 160-180 pitches. Having seen him pitch against Kirbyville a couple of time, I have noticed that he is a curveball first guy, so you would have to say that around 100 of those pitches were curves. This is just an educated guess, and I may be totally off, but if I am anywhere close all I can say is wow.  Lognoin is a great ball player/kid. I wish him the best, and hope his body can withstand that type of workload without breaking down.

  4. Just a national signing day vent. I've lived in Kirbyville all my life and have seen numerous athletes come though our program that can play at the next level. Yet every year we have no one sign on the dotted line come February. It's not just football it's all the sports up here in the woods. It just amazes me the talent level we have that seems to get over looked every year. I'm not talking about just Division 1 I'm talking every level. These kids can play somewhere for someone on the next level I think it's time we start doing something about it. Hell you damn near need and agent to get the word out about you up here. It's really frustrating to me to watch kids with this much talent never get an opportunity to play at the next level. So kids I'm telling you if you want some recognition and looks at the next level your going to have to do it yourself

Are you insinuating that the coaching staff in Kirbyville does not want or try to help kids go play at the next level?

  5. Lol yeah same here! Literally in 2012 haha but on a serious note, that rivalry produced some of my fondest memories in football and baseball. I'd out it up against any rivalry in SETX.

Hey I watched that game. If I remeber correcly the Woodville Hitter that charged the mound got the worst of the beat down. Warren Pitcher bloodied him up pretty good and they had to help him off the field. Only in a Warren Woodville Game. lol
