Having played against 5A teams and watching SC play last night they will have there work cut out.  WR's dropping ball after ball over the middle and no running game besides their QB.  Against top 5A schools you can't air it out down the sideline every play cause the DB's are just as big and fast as the WR's. So again good luck in 5 or 6A!

'97 Vidor Pirates went undefeated at home and finished with a 5-5 record, could have very easily been 7-3.  Had size on the O & D lines, Speed in skill positions, and QB with a strong accurate arm.

And note that the 2 teams we lost 2 (one still playing and the other lost out in the 1st rd) has seen our offense before and had an idea of what to expect.  Crosby & Montgomery both had good speed but never saw our offense before this year and ask them how it felt getting hit in the mouth for 4 qtrs by our defense.  Speed can be negated by descipline.

Hmmmm, Vidor has not faced anyone with speed???  Well Ozen, Central, Crosby both have speed and Vidor defeated all 3.  Its not about speed, its about being in the right position and Vidor always seems to be in the right position.  This game is going to come down to stamina.  If Vidor gets on a roll and starts eating up the clock angelton will have their hands full trying to stop the 3, 4, 5 headed monsters.

brenhamgroupie, I mean benhamfan you post more about Vidor than you do your own school.  This leads me to believe that you once went to Vidor and was cut from all sports and have a lifelone grudge against Vidor.

So I hear montgomery is trying a different defense that we have not seen all year.  They will be the first to put 8 or 9 maybe 10 defenders in the box...WOW!  Thats a new style of defense against Vidor.  I do not think we have seen that the past few years.  I also hear that every starter, offense and defense for montgomery is going straight to the NFL.  There is NO way in hell that Vidor can play with these men(lol)!  What will we do against a juggernaut of a team like montgomery? 

We could have played in Lubbock last night and Vidor would have packed the house!  Vidor, PNG, and Nederland fans all travel very well.  No game is too big or to far for us!!!

The Nederland "Wannabes" vs The Vidor Pirates

Once a Pirate always a Pirate! No matter if you played 20 years ago or play now you feel for the lose of a great person and player!  This is an amazing gesture by Central.  I would personally like to thank each and every member of the Central football team and community.  You guys are above and beyond a class act.  There are no words that can express what the Vidor community is going through and knowing that others care as much as we do is a feeling that can't be described.
