  1. "Liberty is going to surprise some people. I heard that they got a new OC that came from Barbers Hill... " Well in that case then Liberty by 21 ;D ;D ;D
  2. I say the top three will be in the following order. Crosby Galena Park Barbers Hill Gringo, to try and answer your question after the first scrimmage this is what I think about BH. Strengths - Offense - QB is smart and has a good arm, 2 running backs to mix it up some, Offensive Line looks good. Deffense - JOE SEXTON, Defensive Line looks good. Weakness- Offense - Experiance, Backfield Speed, Recieving Defense - Secondary, Stopping a fast back around the corner. Now this is only my opinion! I think that everything will be alot better come district time and some of these weaknesses will disapear! BH Although playing 3A's in the preseason (Wharton, Jasper & Bellville) will be playing quality teams. Keep your eye on "The Hill" they are not going away just yet!
  3. Found this on the Houston Chron. 22-4A: Nederland linebacker Dravannti Johnson (44) is one of the state's top defensive players.
  4. YAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNN Dayton by 21 ;D
  5. Thats not even funny :'(
  6. Liberty!!! Because its their turn ;D
  7. Gasilla what you don't seem to understand is that there is a big difference between a Scrimmage and a Game exspecially for BH. WOS on the other hand doesn't have a whole lot of kids so they play scrimmages like a game (I wonder if WOS has ever lost a scrimmage?). BH shuffles 3 teams through their scrimmages testing the kids as the coaches make decisions of who is getting what spot. The reason why we won more than 3 games last year is because we played our first team during the REAL games!! I wouldn't get to excited about a win over BH in a scrimmage because you may of did all of your scoring against 2 and 3rd teamers. I have know idea who was in the game half the time because we don't wear numbers on our jersy's like WOS does. I'm not starting anything just trying to get the WOS guys to understand most teams are practicing during a scrimmage and if they win great if not it was a good exercise! Dang it!! I know I know Coop "Stay on Topic" Dayton by 14 ;D
  8. Good news! BH will need Sexton!!
  9. Griff you know were buds man! I think we all shoud do a group hug at the game during the half ;D Good luck to the stangs as well! But I still feal that the Broncos are too much for ya this year.
  10. Ok back to the topic! After Dayton is up by 14 should the game just be called?
  11. Man thats harsh Gasilla! Griff aint going to be your best friend no more ;D
  12. Dang Griff you need to take some reading leasons! You have it backwards bro! BH89 said BH was a below average team and WOS was an average team. You are the king for making quotes for people that they did not write. You have now shown your annual (Or is it monthly) tradition of ingnorance ;D
  13. Cool, We have had so much smack going back and forth over the years that I can't tell which WOS poster is which. Thanks for the info. and I aplologize for the defensiveness 8) BH89-2 was right about the coaches! Does anyone know why Hooks went off? All that I could hear was Hooks saying " Keep running your mouth you just wait" it was directed all the way accross the field towards some of the BH coaches. The BH coaches were laughing their heads off ;D Did anyone catch was the BH coaches did?
  14. Hey I'll take 3 or 4 plays over 1 any day ;D My reference was from seeing Beasly and the constant hype that WOS fans put out about all of the SPEED. Goodluck to the Stangs. I could realy care less and was just giving my opinion of the scrimmage, but I should have known to give the Mustangs all good marks on everything they did at the scrimmage. MY BAD ;D
  15. Youre right I did and yall proved me wrong (This year Daytons to loaded). I meant to reply to your buddy Gasilla's post not yours. I mean Gas trying to make those believe those plays were on the JV scrimmage is just hilarious!! I didn't even make the JV scrimmage LOL!
  16. Uh oh did I make the WOS SETX board vulturs angry? You guys are so full of crap if everyone doesn't jump up and down and talk about how good the great WOS is then they get gang tackeled. Cant wait to see the whinning after Dayton plants a hoof print in Hooks Arse ;D Go Broncos!!
  17. Nope, I'm talking about the Varsity ;D
  18. Baytown lee by two TD's. Central lost an excellent QB to graduation and when these two meet last year Baytown's QB went out early. Baytown lee may have the most balanced attack that they have had in years and will be the team to beat in their district. Central is no slouch I just think that we will see some good things from Baytown Lee this year!! Goodluck to both teams
  19. Was your three year started the one who was chased down and caught from behind by the BH safety (To save a TD)? If so that is what I baised my comment on, knowing that we do not have any world class speed in our secondary. If that was someone else then I take back my observation.
  20. No where near "Dominating". BH Held there own during a scrimmage of which one of their best players on the team was out and we had a lot more rotating through the scrimmage than WOS has on their whole team. PS. I know you were fishing for some smack, so here ya go! Dayton takes this one to the House ;D
  21. I watched WOS scrimmage BH last night and stick with my prediction. Dayton by two TD's!!! Good thing is I can catch this game because BH opens up on Saturday ;D P.S. Dayton scouts were all over at the game ;D
  22. Sexton it tough!! he will be back ;D
  23. After loosing what BH did last year I was impressed with BH's team!!
  24. Not exactly : WOS won 2-0 during the controlled scrimmage with one of the scores coming on the last or second to the last plays of the scrimmage. (70 yard Bomb) During the one quarter of game type of the scrimmage WOS won 7-0. During the controlled portion of the scrimmage WOS defense played well limiting BH to 3 to 4 1st downs, but BH ever threatened. WOS played pretty good on offense they had a fumble and threw and interception and had the typical first scrimmage mistakes but look good and move the ball well. Although WOS was moving the ball well BH bent but never broke making WOS earn their yards. BH's Defense was impressive (Even without Sexton!!! went out first play of game) the secondary needs some work, but the line was getting penetration and making some good stops (Especially at the goal line) During the game portion of the scrimmage WOS took its opening drive and scored, but again no break aways WOS earned the TD with a well laid out drive. After this BH's D tightened up and didn't allow too much. BH on offense sputtered of course WOS Defense had something to do with that. BH had a good drive going at the end, ending the game with a 30 yard run up the middle. Over all here is what I thought about the two teams. BH Offense looks rusty, but I saw some bright spots like Carmona's arm! Carmona throws the ball strong has a tight spiral and good placement Also he made some smart decisions during the game. Little runs the ball well and once Sexton is back to block for him we could see some good things! Also the other running back BH had in (Don’t know his name) he was small but quick through he line!! The Offensive line opened some good holes and protected the QB well. On Defense I was impressed with the penetration the line was getting! The secondary although played well at times, I hope the kinks get worked out!! WOS I don’t know any of the players, but WOS QB has good size and can run the ball. His throwing was off, but that will come as the season goes on. WOS RB was also a hard runner, doesn't seem as speedy as the RB's in the past but he runs the ball hard and is a load to bring down. Receiving core seems solid as they caught some misplaced passes during the game and have speed. Offensive line may have some problems as BH was making good penetration, but with the RB he doesn’t need much of a hole. Defense played well on the line and secondary only allowing one big play by BH. Over all it was a good scrimmage and it’s tough to tell at this point how the teams will do. Both teams are down this year and will have to work their butts of if they want that district crown this year. Goodluck to both teams! Thank God football is here ;D
