  1. I hope you guys are right, but I'm not that optimistic Dayton is all by there selfs up front this year without anyone coming close IMHO. CE King will be improved , Crosby is a throw up this year and North Forest will be the Darkhorse lead by the Smiley Coach who is a very good coach. BH will have to beat one of these 4 to grab a spot and it will not be easy! Can BH do it? Of Course, but there will have to be some good play calling and BH will have to take some chances and not be conservative. I love the new district and can see some great games coming!!
  2. And maybe a monkey will fly out of my *** (Ya Know) ;D Seriously though I am glad these are coming back I miss the double and triple header state games that were played at the dome!!!
  3. ; Or the one in Port Arthur ohhh never mind I thought you said Stink hole ;D
  4. Tell us something we don't know :'( There is always next year tough ;D
  5. Embarrassing :-[
  6. That's they way I see it, as well. I would include Winnie and Chambers County in SETX, too. Liberty, Dayton, Huffman, and Barbers Hill are "tweeners" in my view, but many people in the Golden Triangle consider those four more of a Baytown/Houston connection. As someone who lives in the Houston area, I can tell you most people over here see those four towns as more of an outer Houston suburb, and not part of the Beaumont area. BH is in Chambers County ???
  7. Just messing with ya! I'm bored at work, so I figured I would try to stir the pot ;D ;D I know you are! ;D Just remember that you and your people (Mount Belvieu) are the reason I am hear in the first place. Sweet!!!! Hey Coop do I get some kind of pay for making people so made they have to sign up and post???? ;D ;D And then a bonus when they get selected to me a Moderator ;D
  8. I think the Broncos are coming back stronger than ever and will win our district in dominating fashion!! Give us a couple of years and BH will make a game out of it, but the Broncos are just to strong this year. Hope you guys stay healthy an go to state!!
  9. No kidding. Watch out, Kirbyville...there's a couple of BH followers who will despise you even more over this development. ;D ;D ;D Nope we like Kirbyville is just those dang ponys fans we could do with out ;D ;D if they only could ban computers in trailer parks ;D At least Kirbyville will live up to there pre season ranking :'(
  10. Just messing with ya! I'm bored at work, so I figured I would try to stir the pot ;D ;D
  11. me definitely no espanol :D :D :D ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? uuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh ok ??? No english either I assume ;D ;D
  12. Chambers County is part of South East Texas you can look it up on most encyclopedia refernces. Folks that live in the area do see the Trinity river as a boundry, but that is there opinon. Chambers county is not part of the Greater Houston Area and is not considerd by those who live in that area. Were used to it by now! We are the FLOATER ;D ;D
  13. The Golden Triangle is an area of extreme Southeast Texas near the Louisiana border. The "triangle" is formed by Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Orange, which are the largest cities in the area. The "golden" refers to the wealth that came from the Spindletop oil strike near Beaumont in 1901. In an attempt to distance the area from the petrochemical industry, some area interests attempted to rename the Golden Triangle the "Triplex." This name change did not catch on, and area residents still refer to it as the Golden Triangle. Some residents of the Golden Triangle do not refer to the Greater Houston area as being part of Southeast Texas and place the western boundary of the region roughly at the Trinity River. The area holds the annual South Texas State Fair in Beaumont. If I'm not mistaken, Dayton and BH is on the Western side of the Trinity. It's good to see that I'm not the only one that may have been baffled by this. If you notice it says "Some Residents of the Golden Triangle". That would be those that do not own a computer or a high school diploma ;D ;D
  14. Oh yeah they will take some bumps, but I think both of these area's are capable of producing some talent. Depends if they can develope the coaching staff to go with it.
  15. Ok any of you folks that are in the know, how is the team going to look this season? Last season was a bit of a dissapointment for the Eagle Fans ,but after 8 straight years in the playoffs you have to rebuild sometime :'( We had a lot of young players last year, so we should be returning most of our lines and a QB. Its going to be intersting with 4 teams going this year and jugernaught Dayton being in district this year as well as a game with LONGVIEW Can't wait for the season to start! I have know idea what to expect this season. I do know that we will start to see some new stars arise and play our hearts out!!
  16. That looks about right this year ,but the next this district will get interesting. Dayton will always be good ,but they will lose some off their Greatness next year IMHO. BH will start moving toward a strong team that is just now making its way into highschool. IF North Forest can find a coach to make those boys beleive they could be outstanding. Baytown Memorial will be in their second year and will have some talent from the area's that they pull from (North of I-10) and then you have Kingwood Park which is growing like crazy you can bet they will be in the mix at some point. Crosby will be building this year and be stronger the following season as well!!!!! The next 2-4 years looks to be interesting!
  17. I plan on being there!! Been every year to get my fix to last me till August
  18. Well in that case I take it back! With Three GT players on the team LA is going to get taken behind the wood shed for an old fashon BUTT WHOOPPIN ;D ;D ;D
  19. Congrats! Greg had an outstanding year last year! what a back up QB
  20. It will be tough for Texas to ever compete in this, because (as I understand it) this is the only Louisiana all star game now, so LA will always have there top atheletes while Texas has tons for these bowls to send our players to. Plus this is only the Houston area! If we had only one allstar game in Texas most of these players may not even get an invite. JMO
  21. That has absoulutly nothing to do with these players abilities. Would they be better athletes if they were in the best distrct in the United States of Ameraca (Golden Triangle). I think not ;D
  22. Very True!! Last year when BH was playing them in football they had a player get hurt on the field and no one from the Forest Brook side even looked like they cared. The BH coaches and doctor attended to the kid on the field while the FB coaches just casuall strolled over and watched!! There is a lot of good people over there, but as Purple said they have a hard hill to climb to get out.
  23. I guess they in NF could medicate the kids like alot of kids are @BH to quell the violence you speak of since you want to cast a net and suggest they be called the Inmates. Those who live in class houses shouldn't throw stones but I guess @BH being a trash talker on the field/court when winning(I played against BH, OF, Huffman etc) isn't the same...... Try not to be an IDIOT SFA (I know its hard). I can't even believe the crap I just read (Even taking the source into account) what do you mean by "I guess they in NF could medicate the kids like alot of kids are @BH"??? I don't even know if this guy "Blade_65" is from BH , so keep your petty IGNORANT statments to your self!! The point of Blades post is the protection of children not BH Vs. the world, you could put any school into that statement and it would fit. Smiley and Forest Brook have a field that you can only get to by going through a metal detector (that should tell you something)!! It's not the kids fault completly the school, communtiy and Parents need to get more involved if they hope for these kides to make something of theirself oneday!
  24. Biggio to become head baseball coach at St. Thomas By BRIAN MCTAGGART Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle TOOLS Email Get section feed Print Recommend Comments (9) Yahoo! Buzz RESOURCES Brightcove tags PHOTO GALLERIES HS baseball & softball playoffs: May 16 High school baseball, softball playoffs PrepSports baseball & softball More videos, photos, blogs & more Craig Biggio will be named head baseball coach at St. Thomas High School on Tuesday, multiple people close to the situation have told the Chronicle. Biggio, who retired following last season after 20 seasons with the Astros, was an assistant baseball and football coach this school year at St. Thomas, where his oldest son Conor is a student and football and baseball player. St. Thomas won the TAPPS Class 6A state championship in baseball earlier this month, the second in a row for head coach Ken Schulte, who is retiring from baseball. St. Thomas will have an assembly at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to announce Mike Netzel as its new athletic director as well as unveiling its new head football and baseball coaches. Biggio and Netzel didn't immediately return a phone call from the Chronicle seeking comment. Biggio, 42, has played in more games than any other player in Astros last year and last year got his 3,000th hit. He finished his career with 3,060 hits, putting him 20th all-time. He's the Astros' all-time leader in games, at-bats, runs, walks, doubles and is second in homers and RBIs behind Jeff Bagwell. [email protected]
  25. Bronco's should win District and be in the mix for the State Championship IMHO. I'm not sure what you guys are losing ,but I know you have a ton of talent coming back!
