He plays players to try and justify himself and his previous decisions is what I am saying! As far as being a clown take a vote! I see more people on this board bash you than me. I try and be quiet about things but at times I feel like expressing my opinion. As you can read I have done alot of that lately! If you don't like it then skip to the next thread. I understand that. I walked on and was on the scout team in 89! Last year they had a team. I didn't deserve a scholarship! But some players who traveled and played in the games did!

Yeah I know people play for free but IMO if they are good enough to play at least every other series shouldn't that justify some type of scholarship? I know people on the team that have walked on and never play I understand that player not earning a scholarship. But as for those contributing players I don't understand. This goes for any contributing player. Not just Hussey!

WOSgrad whytalk about a game where the opposition isn't compatible with most High School football teams in the area? Of you actually look at the entire situation you will realize there is a trend here of players who have performed well in games and are now not being put back on the bench!! One player chose not to continue playing football and the other is hanging around but he is on scholarship so that's a smart move. I will bet that if some players that contribute this year do not earn scholarships they will be on the road too.

Well obviously the best player doesn't always play at LU!  ???  Note to future players: if you do not fit in the model football player criteria, don't waste your time trying to play ball at LU! You may play a few games but they will get someone from a JC or transfer to replace you. No matter how good of a job you did!

Yes I agree with you that Cody quit!! I feel he quit because he was a contributor to the team but was being passed over by backs who were getting scholarships and IMO are not as good as he is. I would also say that if he were giving what he deserved (any type of scholarship, financial assistance) he would still be on the team. This is just my opinion of course. Now with these guys coming into LU and getting scholarships some being equal and some not as good of RBs and Hussey is STILL being passed over why stay? If you attended either of the scrimmages prior to the season you would see Hussey was running the ball well!! Then to just be pushed to 4th string?? He deserves more than that!! I am not defending him just because he went to my Alma Mater. I am saying this because its the TRUTH!!! But evidently he wasnt shaking the right peoples hands!!!   Anyway this is all I have to say about the situation. I honestly do not think he was treated but, but then again life isn't fair sometimes!! He is a tough kid and I am sure if he puts forth the same effort he did at LU he will have a fulfilling life ahead of him!! I am OUT!! RAIDER88!!!

What I mean is getting on the field during a game and contributing!! Not just during practice!!

Well Hussey deserved a scholarship! IMO!! I realize that there are others on the team that are not on scholarship!  But if they are contributors to the team they deserve SOMETHING! I know of some scholarship players that don't set foot on the field and they may never set foot on the field unless the game is a blowout!!

How many of you would stick around risking your health and not receive a DIME of scholarship money! NO books, no tuition NOTHING!!! Lol Yeah that's right Hussey played for the Love of the game! I don't care what any of you Yahoos have to say about his speed the kid was a contributor! He gave it his ALL every play! I agree with Husseys decision and I don't think any of you know the entire story!! You only know what you have heard or what you THINK you know!! If Hussey would have went to Navarro Jr college he would still be playing! Now that's the TRUTH!! Like it or not!!!

If those other backs were D1 prospects they wouldn't have went to Navarro Jr College!! Would they?

So in which capacity are you a part of this Smashmouth? I highly doubt your a relative?   Personally I think Hussey is a Good back! Maybe not the fastest but speed isn't everything. Put a kid out there with Carl Lewis speed and no Vision, agility, or physical toughness and you don't have a good back!!

I bet there is ALOT more to this story then Hussey got mad and quit because he was put on the scout team. But I don't know the politics of college football!!

So what was his excuse for being inaccurate when it was dry?? Oh I am sure you will say it was because he was too hot. Lol

So is TIME gonna cure a inaccurate arm? I don’t think so!!! Maybe there is a reason West Virginia decided to start someone else. Maybe someone who is more ACCURATE!  If the kid can't hit his target but 50% of the time what's the use??

The ONLY thing JJ did well was hand off the ball and scramble. He is not accurate with the ball AT ALL!!
