The Raiders are not going anywhere but to the Basketball court this year. They tackle like some little 2nd graders!!!

... but it only counts on Friday Nights!!! I have heard this team was suppose to be undefeated since 1st grade too. They look like they tackle like first graders too!!!

This stuff ticks me off. I just need to move on and root for a different school. Things just never seem to change in L-town!!!

This wil definitely bring some of those Lumberton fans back to reality. I am a fan of the Raiders but hearing some of the other fans on KLVI a couple of weeks ago even made me SICK!!! Hopefully the team will step back regroup and play Vidor a tough game next week. WOW!!! Vidor beat Nederland, Congrats Pirates!!

How about Bud Hebert from South Park High School!! PLayed his college ball at Oklahoma and then went on to play a year or two at the New York Giants. He still holds the record for most interceptions in the Orange Bowl!! He is one of the nicest guys I ever met. He even came to my birthday party when I turned 5.( 1975)

I have a 2 year old that will be tough in about 12 yrs. I hope!!

Chip Ambres from West Brook. Best running and passing QB I have ever seen from this area. I wish he would have picked Football instead of baseball I think he would still be playing today on Sundays.

I am glad to see a few Lumberton fans have a POSITIVE attitude. This can only help the players develope into winners. It is very hard to not hear the community putting you down along with Southeast Texas. I have always supported the Raiders reguardless of their record (we were 0-10 my senior year). I hope some of the Raider fans and players on this board can spread the positive attitude. I look forward to following the Raiders to the playoffs!!! (always think POSITIVE)

piratefan the statement about where I live was not intended for you, that is why it is in a seperate paragraph. The statement about the boards is for you to realize I am not a trash talking rookie that you may think I am. I try and carry myself with class as I hope my Raiders will also. Unfortunately every now and again you get a few fools that like to talk trash and put down other schools. I am NOT one of those so why don't you carry yourslf back to Pirate land so us Raider fans can get excited and have a positive attitude about our upcoming season. Good luck to your Pirates!!

For your information Piratefan I have been around these high school football boards for a while. Just go over to Texasprepextra, WOS website, PNG website, Nederlands web site. and ask some of those guys . They have seen me around. I don't want your sympathy either so do not bother feeling sorry for me. As for me starting the trash talking I think not I merely have faith in MY team and will njot tolerate others putting us down. I too get tired of people trash talking on MY team so you can understand why we get so touchy on the subject. As for me moving that is none of your business. If I had it my way I would still live in Lumberton, but certain things kept me from staying. For now I am a Raider fan and will remain a Raider fan until.(lets see how well Deweyville hangs with Newton) Lastly have you heard me once put down any other team in the area, I think not. So yall have a good day and have fun cheering on your team, and I will continue to cheer on mine.

Yeah and Deweyville has alot of room to talk. What has Deweyville done lately (from what I seen they do not even have a field to play on) Its okay I understand all of you nay sayers, just wait till the end of the season, there will be plenty of room on the Raider bandwagon. I graduated from Lumberton and we stunk up the place but I always keep faith in MY team. One of these days things will get going in the right direction.

Hey Jacksonville Ind. I am just stating my honest opinion. I would love to have all of our local teams go to state every year. Then we can all go to TexasPrepXtra.com and talk trash with the rest of the state.

Reguardless of what happens in Pop warner league, Friday nights is where it counts. If the kids can just get out there and learn the fundamentals of the game and have fun this will get them in the right direction. They have plenty of time to polish their game.

I second that Matt. They have been sooo close but yet so far away. I think there best chance was a few years ago when they had it taken away from them by the referees during a game against Ozen (it was Ozens first year and I think a few refs were wearing Hebert colors under neath, but that is water under the bridge). There is alot of talent in Lumberton they just need the parents, school board, and others to stay away. Then let the coaches do their job. Maybe 2006 will be the year. I have my fingers crossed theat the curse on Lumberton football is broken.

Brenham is LOADED this year. I do not think PNG wil have enough weapons to hang with them. It will be a VERY good test for the Indians.

We will see. The kids seem to respond to teh new Head coach in a very positive manner. We will see. It is time for a CHANGE in Lumberton Raider football though. This could be the year.
