After looking at the stats I would have to agree about throwing the ball more. Will is completing 65% of his passes with only 1 interception. However, he only has 48 attempts. I realize he was out for at least a game.  Also agree that Connor Quinn is a good athlete and a great competitor.

If you are going to be critical at least try and get your facts straight.  First, I was very critical after the bridge city and liberty games last year regarding the play calling.  The reason that Kelly averaged 44 points per game in district is because they got more balanced.  Second, I didn't say anything about the kelly offense in this first game.  I simply pointed out the fact that almost every starter from last year is gone.  I'm surprised by the outcome, but I don't see the point to pile on what is mostly a bunch of sophomores who are starting their first game.

Ball4 what did u think was going to happen this year?  Kelly lost 17/22 starters to graduation.  They are playing a 3-4 defense and don't have a single linebacker with experience

I don't know anything about coach Holmes. I'm glad that he is a Kelly grad and is getting his first chance to be the head man. Last year there were 17 senior starters and several very talented players among them. They also had two of the most experienced coordinators in the area.  Coach Rabb on offense and coach knowles on defense.  Clint was smart enough to let it all come together.  The mother of mercy comment is childish.

Administration at Kelly doesn't care about hiring the best coach. They are going to do what is easiest for them.

I agree that's a great season.  I do find it interesting that some other people like to post that if certain other 4-a players had more exposure they would be more highly rated.

I'm glad that kids like Willie lighty and dillon Guidroz are getting some recognition.  They are good football players that everyone would talk about if they were playing in 20-4a

This is a group of 19 seniors, many of whom have been playing together since 6th grade.  They are winning because everyone is contributing. It's not the time to talk about anything else.

look I know you love your guy and that's great.  Please get on Rivals or Scout and look at the size speed and highlight tapes of receivers who have committed to SEC schools.  I hope that he has a chance to play college football so you can continue to follow him.  Just not sure why you have to go to such extremes.  I know it is going to shock you, but being an outstanding player for PNG does not mean that you are one of the best in the country.  You are doing the young man a diservice by making such statements.

this has already been ruled on by TAPPS.  No suspension for coach or team.  Kelly will play Bishop Dunne next Saturday  at Kelly.  Time has not yet been decided on.

ok this is the last time I'm going to do this.  Here are the FACTS.
1) The parent attended practice on Monday of last week.  He made no secret of who he was when he was asked.  He also made no effort to hide the fact that he was there because he did not realize he was doing anything wrong.
2) Kelly had already clinched the district title and the game was completely meaningless in terms of their involvement in the playoffs.

here is the true story.  The administrators of this site know who I am and can verify that I would know the truth.  Early last week, one of the Kelly parents was in Houston on business and for reasons unknown to the rest of us decided to stop by St. Thomas and watch practice.  Someone from their staff noticed him and since they did not recognize him sent someone over to inquire who he was.  Not realizing that he was doing anything wrong, he gave his name and said he was from Kelly.  NO coach had any knowledge that this man was going to this practice.  Kelly had already clinched the district title prior to this game.  We had already beaten Thomas the first time we played them.  The main goal for this game was to get some injured players some rest.  That's the story.  There is nothing else.  Someone from St. Thomas has obviously leaked this to the TV station.  I would hope that in this situation, you will see Kelly as a member of the Southeast Texas community and give them your support.

I don't have any animosity towards Legacy.  I'm glad they are starting to take football more seriously.  No one at Kelly ever even thinks about Legacy.  Our goal is to win District 3 in Division 1 TAPPS and to compete with and beat 3a teams in southeast texas.  If Legacy can get to the point some day when they can compete with Kelly, then good for them.
