Leaving Thursday with 3 Others in tow. I've made all the other state champ games with exception of '88 with Paris. Lets go meet em .

Everyone talks about how fast this team is . Speed is nothing new at WOS , just take a look at UIL track history. East Texas always talks about speed , and they are correct, it s in South East Texas.l

Sweetwater has a good team, looks like Gilmer also had a good team, as did Navarro , Giddings , Robinson , Kennadale, Silsbee, Liberty but they all ran into an execptional WOS team. To many weapons , to much speed , and the heart of a champion .

Gilmer and Sweetwater both look like "good" football teams , and so was Navarro and Giddings and Robinson and Kennedale and Silsbee but they ran into a "Real Good" football team.

A huge thanks to all the folks that came out to support WOS last night at NRG. I saw many schools represented . And it was like a reunion for me with many of my class mates from the Houston area in attendance .

I've had folks from PNG, Vidor , BC , LCM , Nederland , Orangefield all tell me they are coming to support the Stangs - Rock the house.

Southeast Texas schools have an abundance of very good atheletes , the difference at WOS is the program that has been in place for many years , basic skills , blocking , tackling . Discipline is essential and Cornell requires it. Conditioning is a key , you will very rarely see a mustang with a cramp or bent over with his hands on his knees trying to get some air . We've played against some great atheletes over the years , epic battles with Jasper come to mind , but they could not go 4 quarters at the mustang pace. Last and maybe most important - consistency in very good coaching . But even that suffered at WOS during some periods , we had the teams , but our play selection was not what was required to win 3 or 4 rounds deep. The perfect storm has been brewing the last several years . But we will lose some of those good coaches, we always have, many went on the be very successful , Barry Norton at Texas high comes to mind. Several state championships , I think maybe he took that mustang program with him. I for one would love to see SE Texas teams become state power houses , just takes disciplined hard work.

Adults 11 , Students 6 , If you have kids going , good idea to get them at the school, then more money for drinks and junk food. Gonna be a great atmosphere for HS football , can't wait for Friday . Stangs will be ready .

Yeah , I saw that , went after an int and got hit by his own guy. Hate that .

Navarro may be one of the best "Teams we've seen this year " , better than Kennendale ?? They don't have superstars just a well coached bunch. I don't think the offense had a single penalty in the Cuero game . We will have to play good solid football against this group. Coach T will have them ready , execute execute execute.

Cuero was flagged a bunch last night and made some mistakes . Really believe they had the better atheletes. Navarro D is gonna be in trouble . Navarro backs haven't been hit yet. I predict they will come Friday night.

Watched some of the game on Texan live between Cuero and Navarro. Navarro runs the Wing/slot very well , just like all of those teams they chew up the clock . Nothing we have not seen and beat many times . Size wise , looks like we matchup better with them than our last few opponents. Going to watch more of it over the week end . At first glance , if WOS plays to their potential we will be at AT&T on Dec 16 at noon. Probably facing Gilmer .

Hope WOS LB is ok , Big ole Center for Giddings leg whipped and then rolled up on him.

The right to wear the Silvet Helmet and share that Varsity sideline has to be earned .

Mustangs win this one , Need to start playing minimal mistake football , no such thing as mistake free, when your playing with a ball that has pointed ends . Giddings has seen talented mustang teams in the past, but not one with all of the pieces in place like this team . Outstanding personnel , solid basics and great coaching and play calling.

Was talking about that game at half time last night . Different O-coordinator we win that one .

Hugh shout out to the O Line and D Line on their dominating performance last night and really all year long !!

KOGT will have someone at the game They will be giving updates during the WOS game .

No, E going to Vail with Gabs , I'm going to bandera to see my mom. Besides can't miss the Stangs on Friday .

I was thinking about that. I'll be coming back from the hill country, if I leave early enough , will look u up.

TD , these young men are doing great , as kicker well knows a world of issues can occur on a point after kick, that's why they call it an attempt . Kudos to kicker for taking the time to work with them.

Remember that gave very well , think it was in Katy. They had our number , D Beasley was kept in check all night. They executed their game plan and offense. We walked away shocked . The advantage we have over that period in time is the play calling we now have.
