1. Yep Looks like a SC highlight reel. They are good at what they do. How did Vidor rack up 440 yds on the ground. SC defense must have some holes in it. Looks like if Vidor could have hung on to the ball, it would have been much closer. Good luck in the playoffs SC, maybe we will see you at Jerry's Place.
2. After watching WOS completely dominate Cleveland last night, I can't see them having any problems stopping a run oriented offense, does not matter what set they run from.  WOS  played a scrimage agaist Vidor very early in the season. And held their own, Vidor put up over 400 yards on the ground agaist a very good SC team last night. If the stangs can contiune to play with the intensity they hit the field with last night - Dallas here come.
3. Routine 1st Quarter for Stangs. Just keep those Zebra's in check.
4. Looks like were going to have to play the tigers and the zebra's
5.

This will be a good tune up game for both teams going into the playoffs and bragging rights for District Champion. Nothing more. Silsbee is in the same mold as Jasper teams, always have some good talent and speed, but not disciplined and their conditioning is never to WOS standards. When the fourth quarter rolls around their hands will be on their knees. 1st half will be tight, but the second half will be the difference.  Stangs by 14, Silsbee may score , but it will not surprise me if they are shutout.
Good post M&Mstangfan.  I hope the WOS "WORRY WART" (skippy) can find someone to read your post to him.
I don't post much, but read alot and always enjoy the banter. I was a West Orange Chief long before the Mustangs started their quest. I've watched high school football in southeast texas for over 40 years, I've followed all of the area teams on Chamionship runs. Coach T is a longtime friend and I've always been proud of what they have done with these kids. We are blessed to have the coaching and the support from the communities that southeast texas brings, each and every Friday night. Whatever the outcome in Silsbee on Friday night, we are all winners.

7. Plain and simple. If both teams play their best game WOS will win. Turnovers could decide this one, hopefully the officiating will not. Just hoping we have a good clean injury free game. Go Stangs.....
8. Smoking Baby must of gotten hold of somebody's crack pipe.  I interpreted the Bullard artice this way -- We were shut down on offense, and the WOS offense scored at will.
9. Congrats to Coldspring, They played a complete game. I picked Kville by 14. But Kville could not stop the run. I was surprised that Ford was shutdown, Kville had to live on the long ball. CS defense did a great job.  Kvillie defense on the field way to long, they played with a lot of heart but just were worn out by the end of the game, I think that allowed CS to score the last touchdown and the one that was called back. Good Year Kville, we will see you in 2011.
10. BR thew a couple of passes that hurt us, and over threw one that would have been a TD early in the game. But their passing game is not sharp.  The one long ball they completed was a sloppy defense play by us inside the five yard line, we had them on a fourth and long from our 35 and they completed that pass which I believe set up the third touchdown.
11. I'm for southeast Texas Football. I'll back my Stangs till they get bounced. We had a good season, tough on the young men but it's over now. Several area teams lost last night , we need to rally behind the remaining teams and support Southeast Texas Football. Kville - Stay focused on the task at hand. As you well know any team can go down on a given day. You can not afford to take anyone lightly. I'll be there Friday Night pulling for the Cats.
12. Roberts was on the side line, the word was he had a concussion.  We had a very good year , in light of all that this team had to endue. We just had to many errors in the is game, 7 turnovers . My comment all week was if don't hang on to the pumpkin it'll be tough to win. Don't want to whine about the refs but there were some poor calls. I was at the game and it appeard the Williams moved on every play before the snap. They only called it a couple times. Also got some terrible spots,  1 inch on two different occasions and this game was a Win for WOS. I expected Willams to do well , he is very good. We were not wrapping him up. He is the team, if they lose him they have nothing offensivly, their defense played a good game. I can't see them making it much farther I'll be pulling for Kirbyville to make a run. Will be at the game next week in Beaumont.  Go cats...
13. It's 3:45 , Headed to the game to support out young men.  Lets go get'em stangs.
14. Coach T has the defense really playing well. And it appears the offense has found some potent weapons. If the stangs can hang on to pumpkin, we should come away with a win.  I think these young men are on a mission. One step at a time.
15. KOGT 1600 AM,  also on the WEB KOGT.com, [Hidden Content]
16. Yep, Brookshire will most likley get by Giddings. WOS will be up to the task, Coach T has the defense playing really tough right now.  If the offense can get in gear against better competition no telling how far they can go.  Most polls have WOS making it to the regional final with Kville. I'm not worried about one player beating WOS. If all you have is one weapon against a Cornell Thompson defense - you won't even never get it loaded.
17. Congrats to the Lumb Teams they were both very good, was a little surprised that Vidor Black did not get thru. Lumb white was very good against WOS , but WOS was a little week this year.  And as I predicted Lumb Red took Ned White.  Stavin those Ned kids before weigh in just did'nt pay off.  Although they do grow'em big over there , I saw the Ned LCM game friday night.  And Ned looked OK,  but seems I remember a little 3A school from Orange County chewed'em up and spit'em out earlier this year. In fact that little 3A school has pretty much owned midcounty .  Looking forward to more PeeWee football next year.  On to the HS playoff trail, good luck to all of the Southeast Texas teams.
18. I stand corrected, Lumb Red beat a very good PNP Purple team. I don't think you'll get past them  Vidor Black is very good and Lumb White may be able to hang, they beat WOS easliy, but then WOS lost to anyone that had a decent team. Still believe Vidor Black is the team to beat. Not sure if you were the coach that got the unsportsman flag thrown , if I had been the ref that coach would have been off my field. A very poor role model for 7 - 8 year old kids. There were bad calls both ways, but the no calls were what really hurt Vidor White.  I don't have a dog in this fight , I just called it like I saw it. On the weigh-in - And I have'nt seen many 7 -8 year old kids gain 20 Lbs in 3 months. STJFL needs to review their policy's , situations like this will prompt a weigh-in before every game.  You are obvisouly young, I've been around football for 43 years. I was a little radical when I was younger , you will find as you mature that it's not all about winning a game.  And we know about winning at WOS.
19. I saw the Ned White, Vidor White game. No way Ned should have won that game. A few very bad calls by the refs, not to metion a Ned running back that had to go 110-115 lbs, no way this kid was under 90 Lbs back in August. Even at that he was much of a factor.  Also one of the worst displays of sportsmanship by the Ned coaching staff , one in particular.  Junior football is about teaching kids the game, and letting them enjoy playing. These kids are being taught in very distructive enviroment. My kids are grown now but there is no way I would have let them play on that team. I saw all of the games. Lum White will beat them. Vidor Black will take the whole ball of wax in Pee Wee Div.
20. I think it will be a plus for WOS, Let's get Barry Norton back !!!!! Really I don't believe Barry would consider it with the program and facilities he has at Texas High plus the state champs rings. I would think WOS could attract a very good O.C. with their program. LCM really needs a Head Coach, so being the sportsman minded fans we are we'll let them take our O.C. .
21. Good Catch Grizzly62, I watched some of those also. It's funny how teams that seem to execute well get away with the O line holding, I realize holdin happens on every play. I found several hundred pictures of the WOS Gilmer game on a Gilmer website , I found pictures where the Gilmer linemen were holding the WOS defensive line by the face mask. No wonder we could never get to the QB. I've seen Kville play twice this year, they are very good, if they play mistake free football they can beat anyone. Go Wildcats , bring home that State Chap !!!!!
22. Like BD04 , It would be nice to have this in Playoff Games , most of the time once you get to regional games there are stadiums that have the equipment. And this is typically where you start getting close games that could be decided by a bad call. I've sure seen some bad calls this year as well as no-calls , which even replay would not help you with. I also agree with one of the other bloggers that at this level mistakes are part of the game - I would have added , players mistakes , not referee's mistakes.
23. Ok. If we win, I want you to be the first on here to give props...First thing in the morning, matter of fact... If central wins, I'll be on here tonight congradulating y'all on the fluke If my memory servers me - seems I remember that the last time Friendswood lined up against a team from the Golden Triangle was in 2000 and they took pretty good woopin 37 to 10 from West Orange Stark on of the smallest 4A teams in the state.
24. Good luck to all the southeast Texas teams this weekend. I'll be in Lufkin pulling for WOS and then for K-Ville. Let's do it southeast Texas. Come out and see some great football. Bmt Central 4A WOS 3A K-Ville 2A Div I Newton 2A Div II
