That's big words, I look forward to watching Central play then if that's true. I still believe everyone will be second fiddle to that 1990 defensive unit that had more then 7shutouts -

So you guys think this defense will be better than the 08 defense with Stowers and 03 defense with David Dixon ?? -

What did you hear -
Yes this is true, but in the right system you maximize your strength and mask you weakness. Like Katy use to do, they didn't have athletes like North Shore or WestField, so they masked it by discipline and a really good system. That's how they beat those schools. But I see what you saying and in some cases it does make a difference
-
Yea I didn't mean it like that, they do have kids at big major colleges, but the way I ment it was as, a teams that wins State every year in Texas should be like another IMG academy. The closes we got here is probably schools like Desoto or Cedar Hill. Katy is on the rise tho, specially with all those ppl moving in,. They will become a D1 factory in a few years

I see what your saying but this is not entirely true. I've seen players down here just the same or better then Players around Houston/Dallas/Austin/San Antonio. But the thing I noticed about them and Us. They have a system. Katy's athletes are probably no better the. P.N.G or Nederland. But you wanna know why Katy goes to State every year? They have a system that's installed in them at a young age. My nephew worked out at a place in Katy called the lab, owned by one of Katy Highschools coaches Dad. He said everyday At 6:00pm every Katy Highschool football player is on time at this place working out everyday hard, an this started in January. Not to mention they had workouts at school everyday also. An this is PLAYER led, No coaches, and everyone of those players are held accountable. Those parents up there INVEST in those kids. he said they had kids coming in there throughout the day as young as 10 yrs old, and the trainers would just be like, "o yea he's gonna be the QB, or he's gonna be the LB". And they work on there craft everyday at 10yrs old all the way up until they graduate Katy Highschool Its All a system. Katy doesn't have colleges knocking down the door of the school. Man if you put a school like Memorial or Cental in there you would have the De La Salle(Cali) of Texas, a Dynasty. But we don't down here and I have no idea why. We have to much talent not to be winning State Championships. Why do y'all think back in the Day SETX/GoldenT always had a team contending for State? The talents always been here but with time things improve (facilities, stadiums) and systems develop, an so far we have been Slow to turn the corner as a Area. We need to invest in these kids like your Cedar Hills and Katy's. There's no reason why South East Texas shouldn't have two teams a year in the championship or at least semifinals. W.O.S is probably the only team close to having a system, an they don't even really have one.

Lol true that 2010 Vidor team was said to be one of the best in school history an I think they still can't in 3rd that year behind PNG and Central
-
Stowers probably would have had a central dynasty going,, & once kids would have saw what he was doing with consistency and success Central was gonna be the "football school" of Beaumont . But Toby is a great higher, I believe he will do very well

Just a little rant I have lol. But I use to be on here a lot back around 2009, but I started working offshore so I was in Mississippi for awhile. But just some observations. Bisd needs to get some consistent coaches. Back around 2009/2010/2011 all the Beaumont highschools had really good coaches in place. Nelson had Ozen on a serious come up. They had went 3 rounds deep before I left i believe. How do you let him go? Stowers had Central going a minimum of 2 rounds every year and got them all the way to the 4th round, and shoulda been 5 ( but thats another story lol) in 08 with that stout defense. Stump had pretty decent years to, my only thing with him is that 07 or 08 team should have probably been at least in the final 4. That 2011 team was loaded to. BISD wants to win championships but won't let a coach be in place for more then 3-4 years. Look at the most successful programs just around the area (W.O.S, Nederland, Memorial, P.N.G) all those programs have coaches that's been in place for more then 3/4 years Now if coaches are leaving to go to better opportunities then that's fine, but BISD should be that better opportunity for most. Is in a big city with nice facilities and a hotbed of talent . The administration is running to many good ones away. There's no way stowers shoulda left to go go Little Elm when he had so much success here. BISD has got to do better.

Yea me to, if they start early tho, I'll probably go to West Brook
-
Does Central start tomorrow and if so what time
-
Exactly I think 1 or 2 times we had 2 teams go at least 3+ rounds during those years
-
i hope he can bring Lumberton back to those days when he was OC and Cody Hussey was running over people. The district is strong with a good Lumberton team
-
Stop before 2011 Central was one of the top programs in the area and was known throughout the State.
