Not sure what their record was last year, but I think they finished 4th behind three very good teams (OF, WOS, Silsbee). HJ would have made the playoffs if they would have been in any other district in the state. They are the team to beat in this district this year. They have almost everyone back from last year. I have not seen them play yet this year, but from some of the scores I have seen, they can easily be at the regional tournament this year. Actually, I would be a little surprised if they did not make it to Huntsville. I'll get to see them in a couple of weeks when they play Orangefield. This should be a great game.

The player of the week goes to Katelyn Bernsen of Hardin-Jefferson. In two games last week she had 48 points, 20 assists and 12 steals. Congrats Katelyn!

Kaylin (KK) Little of Orangefield. Scored 21 points last Tuesday against Jasper. In the previous six games KK is averaging 24.5 points.

You can't score 10 points the first half and expect to win games. It was a combination of a good LCM defense and poor shooting by OF. OF will be ok. Keep shooting guys!!

I was at the game and the Ladies came out good the first half, but came out a little flat in the second half. It was the first game that the ladies have played together as a team. They will get better with each game. They already look to be more competitive than teams in the recent past. Give Tidwell and his staff some games under their belt. They will compete to win the SLC.

I agree Bleedorange. That was a very classy move by Coach Mangam, his staff, and his players. I for one enjoyed that sign of good sportsmanship because in this day and age you don't see that too often. So thanks Coach Mangam and your players. Very Classy! HF keep this guy around! Jeremy Granger also had a sack on defense to go along with his 6 TD's. Jared Helton OF QB - 6/11 127 yards 4 TD's, 106 yards rushing, and two INT's on defense!

A few injuries in Orangefield this week have just made this game alot more interesting. I'm pulling for my Bobcats, but this game is a toss up right now. Whoever can keep from turning the ball over may win this game.
