This was a greatt  game played by both teams.. Was a fun and enjoyable night.  The tribute to the two guys was so nice and painting Destin's number on the sideline was so thoughtful. Just want to say that these two teams have got to have the most respectable group of boys i have seen.  After the game they talked to one another and were so sincere in the things they said..  Good Sportsmanship says so much about someone.  Congrats to their Homecoming Royalty..  Warren you put on a very memorable night.  Good Luck to Warren and Deweyville in the upcoming weeks..  Continue to work hard and fight til the end.

Well the Anahuac Panthers are as advertised on offense, super fast, very elusive backs. The Pirates looked good on offense even though the score does not indicate it, the 1st three drives for the Pirates ended in the red zone with only 6 pts to show for it.  Good luck to the Panthers the rest of the year, and for the Pirates keep playing hard and things will turn around for you.

Everyone is trying their best to get everything worked out how it should be..  Give them some hope and time, they may surprise you.

The students who play for Deweyville give all they can during every game. It is hard with not so many guys. These boys play with all their heart. The coaching staff is doing a great job with the guys. Some of you who want to criticize the coaches or say that the pirates aren't giving it their all need to find another team to support. If you can't support 100% then we don't need you. ALSO, Addison isn't the only player on the team. Even he realizes that the only way the others can continue to improve is by being given the chance. SO with all that said: Pirates keep your heads up and continue growing better. You do have support out here that knows you are giving it all that you have. No matter what the score board reads you are all winners by never giving up.

Very well said!  Practice hard this week boys and keep your enthusiasm up and heads held high.  Your true supporters will be proud regardless. Good luck to all teams this Friday.

HD has a very scrappy team that has a very good RB #32 I believe, they will be good this year.

Deweyville needs to work on 3 things: 1st discipline, 2nd blocking and 3rd tackling.  Unless these areas are addressed this will be a very long and difficult year for the Pirates.   Need some leaders to stepup for the Pirates and right the ship before district starts.

VERYY well put. And Hull jus wasnt all that they were talked up to be. Deweyville also played terrible..  Considering they held their own against Kirbyville but let HD score on them TWICE!!  Good Luck to both in coming up games.

Saw Silsbee last weekend.  didnt look bad at all.  Excited to see how this goes..  Hope LCM comes out and stays strong. Good Luck to both teams.

Without bringing numbers and stats into the picture, i would like to say that our greatly missed quarterback, Destin Lairsey served us well as a GREAT quarterback. He cared so much for his team and the game, best heart you could have ever come across. We Love and Miss You. Keep an eye out for everyone this year. I love the fact that the refs will be unable to call a penalty for too many players on the field when really you'll be there the entire time.

Definitely ready for the football aroma.  I try to make other sports hold me over but none seem to fulfill my thirst.    ;D

Very proud and satisfied with the way this laid out. Many Deweyville players on the list and very excited to see Coach Fletcher on there. Shows alot when the coaches and players have so much respect from the community. Congratulations everyone, i don't believe there will be a season quite as interesting as this was with so many seniors leaving us this year. Seniors you most definitely will be missed.

Congrats to all. Way to go Seth Williams. Hope to see ya at the next level.

Congrats Buna.. Sounds like it was a good game. 

Any given day any team can win. I love baseball and respect it enough not to say this team or that team will win. Buna should win this game but the fact is you when it comes down to it you never know what will happen. If Buna thinks they are gonna win by throwing their gloves out there it could be an interesting night. Kountze is a team that will make others pay for mistakes. If Buna plays like they are capable they should go home with a win, if they don't Kountze can pull out an upset. All I can say to both teams is keep your mind on the game and let your play do your talking.

I agree..  Fans of Deweyville appreciate their positive attitudes and how they all support and pick each other up. They obviously have realized that baseball is a short-term-memory mind game.

Could be anyone's game. Pirates will come ready to play some ball and hang tough.  May be a good rally up til the end.

Great Game! Everyone played well and kept their head in the game.  Garret Haney hit a home run with 2 people on base. And Keeton Addison rounded off the final inning pitching leaving three of their runners on base. Good Job boys! Keep playin hard for #9. You all made him very proud.
