I think the lions will take this one. But if your a pirate fan this should be encouraging since I don't think I have picked a winner yet.
-
I agree with B.M.F. it's all in fun and besides you should feel honored I see where 9 broncos fans are coming to your game and that's like half their fan base and once they see how real fans act they want being going back to know broncos game. ( just stiring a little )

B.M.F. realizes he lives in B.F.E moves to lumberton

I've never seen as much smack talk about a game that probably won't even take place.
Were just practicing in case it does happen. If not there's always next year.
-
I seem to remember a bet being made last year on a similar game (something about not posting for a period of time), maybe that would work this time, in the event this game does take place. Maybe it will keep the board from heating up so much. Just a thought!
Boo That. How Boring would that be. I say the loser must increase the smack talk. You must give every excuse for losing. Like Injured players, players out of position, we haven't jelled yet. ;D

It's like this, a year ago at this time Dayton was still hearing about it - "Lumberton is the only team in 22-4A (at the time) to beat Dayton . . . Dayton, 8-7, get over it and on, and on and on, adnausium.
There is no doubt, at least in any sane mind that Dayton was not the same team after that. Enter Gregory Charles at QB, a jumbling of the offensive and defensive fronts with some changes on both sides of the football and everyone is quite aware of what happened. I mean this "new" Bronco team totally annhilated Nederland 63-0 at their place. Did Dayton go on and on and on about it? No, we got ready to play the next week. We were on a march to where no Bronco team had gone before.
Dayton thought they might be able to prove their point in the playoffs, but one party didn't hold up their end and lost to Waller while Dayton was devastating Livingston. Even after dispatching Livingston, there it was, "8-7 Dayton, get over it."
I see this week's Lumberton vs. Nederland game as pretty much a struggle of priorities. I really think Nederland would like to win with a very tiny part of that being to be the team that sent the Raiders into the stampede known as the Dayton Broncos. I actually think, no matter what "the fans" think, that Lumberton coaches want anything but to face the Broncos this season, again. I mean the two met in a "meaningless" scrimmage, and even though Cody and AJ sat out the entire second half, and not to be confused with last year's statement: this is a much better, much improved Bronco team than what Lumberton saw in August. Now, Dayton's defense, which was missing five of its projected starters have learned to play on their on merits and those merits are pretty good - ask CE King, Crosby, et al.
. . . and that's just the way it is, in the words of a friend of mine.
Blah Blah Blah ... You played the game you lost get over it. That being said I do agree that this team from lumberton is not as deep as last years and would be in for long night against Dayton. Unless you had someone injured or out of position and you played your worse game ever and lumberton played their best game ever then they might win.

A one point beatdown????? you people need to hire a math teacherWE have been sleeping like a baby and dreaming as well.....dreaming of a rematch and a beatdown
That's the good thing about a dream you decide the winner. Then you wake up and realize you have to make it through another day of re living that beat down you took from that little school from lumberton. Then it's bed time and you snuggle up next to teddy and think how great it's going to beat that little lumberton team tonight Zzz. Ouch that's gotta hurt.
Squeaker just didn't have the effect I was looking for. ( just stirring a little )

Lumberton is the only team to beat Dayton over the two years Dayton was in the Beaumont district.
That stung, but Dayton moved on.
What bugs most football followers in Dayton is what happened during the last week of the season (regarding how the playoff seedings would occur)
Not going into specifics, because this thread will be terminated, but what happened was just plain wrong.
Dayton has moved on ? Now that's a good one

If Beard play's I give Lumberton a shot, If not Ned at home could be tuff to beat.
Good Luck to both.

HEY RUDDER OLD TIMER, NOT SAYING YALL AREN'T PHYSICAL, JUST SAYING YALL DON'T HAVE THE SPEED OR HANDS TO MATCH UP WITH THE BRONCOS. WOULD BE A VERY LONG NIGHT FOR YALL. KEEP TALKING. WE LOVE IT. THE BRONCOS AVERAGE 46.2 POINTS IN DISTRICT ALONE. 41.6 POINTS ON THE SEASON. WHAT DO YALL AVERAGE? ASK KING IF THEY WERE WORE OUT. YEAH, TICK TOCK TICK TOCK. THE CLOCK IS RUNNING ;D ;D ;D)Lol, you know, the funny things is that most of you say it's us Lumberton fans who ae obnoxious. Of couse I imagine that is fueled mostly by you Dayton Burro fans. Tick tock tick tock my glutious maximus........ (Hey I think i'll add that as my signature )
Let's hope if they do meet again Dayton will win and we want have to listen to Dayton fans whine for another year, on second thought that might be fun ( go raiders )

Nobody is trying to take Lumberton's shine... They are strong and one of the best teams in this district, no denying that... But I still can not phantom where the arrogance comes from??? I even started a new topic after the Central game giving you guys props... But I am sorry no one on this site outside of Lumberton is going to hold that team at such a high esteem after two successful years... He!! some of us will never hold L-town in high esteem, no matter how much they win, because it wont erase 40 years of losing! Some people don't know how to handle success gracefully! I would hate to see you guys win a title... Eventhough you already talk like you have already won one... I guess it feels that way when you go from door mat to competitive!!!! Go Figure!
I think this is lumbertons problem, they have been the door mat for years but they are not anymore and they want respect now and some of their fans are a little over the top which causes comment like ( He!! some of us will never hold L-town in high esteem, no matter how much they win ) My advice is keep winning ( which I think they will as long as Coach C stays ) and you will get what you want. Might not be this year might not be 5 years but it will happen. Once the Lumberton fans stop caring want other people think those past 40 years want matter.

I think this will be a great game. Not sure vidor can stop ned. passing game. That being said I don't think ned. can stop vidor's ground game. I think turnovers will decide this one. Good luck to both.

Well guys it seems to me like Livingston Vs. Central could be for all the marbles (especially if Lumberton drops one to Nederland which I expect) what do you'll think?
You lumberton folks took this bait on this one. I think buc new what he / she was doing with this topic ( rile some raiders )
