PNG isn't pass happy this season. Heading into the Vidor game they averaged 230 rushing yards compared to 202 passing yards per game. Against Vidor they did take advantage of the matchup to throw for 241, while running for 190. (Stats according to PA News). I didn't know the exact stats until looking up, I just knew from watching them a few times that they look different. Unlike the past seasons under BF the offense can chew up clock with the run and let the defense rest up.

Our hats had a purple crown, black bill, gray I outlined in black. Home jersey was purple with INDIANS written in gray outlined in black. Road jersey was gray with INDIANS written in purple outlined in black. Senior year Stone came in and changed everything to purple and white. Home basketball uniforms back then were grey jerseys and shorts were gray with big purple and black stripes. Road basketball were purple jerseys, gray letters, purple shorts with big gray and black stripes.

Memorial's schedule is pretty suspect as well. Bay is (2-1) with with both wins coming against (1-3) teams. Westside is (0-3) while being outscored 98-13. PA was leading 34-27 when the game was called in the 3rd. Central is (1-3)

My biggest concern about PA is they've played less than five quarters and it's week 4! I still have no clue who they are. Titans were sloppy against a mediocre Bay team. That's the only time I've seen them in person.

Late last night when I voted MCM took a slim lead. Less than 2 minutes later the lead for MCM was almost 1,000. Then I voted again and MCM was down 3,000! This was all within a couple minutes. This poll is pretty bad lol.

Saw this posted Thank you to everyone for praying for my dad and our family. He had a heart attack at the football game and his heart stopped for at least 20 minutes. Thanks to the quick action of our Eagle Family who started CPR immediately, the blood continued to flow. They've shocked him three times, intubated him to get him oxygen, and are now taking him to the cath lab. They say he's not stable enought transfer him to his regular doctor in Houston at this time. Please continue to pray without ceasing!

Last week does count as a win for PA since it was the Bay coach that decided to hit the road and not the officials. Tonight's game is a no-game. Neither team gets a win or loss.

PNG has one set of decals, used on both helmets. They have two jerseys and two sets of pants just like every other school in the area. PNG and Central are the only schools with two sets of helmets in SETX, but it's becoming more and more common across the state. As it's been stated before there is plenty of gray in PNG's history. Pants in the 50's. Trim on jerseys multiple years. Even the letter jackets were gray all the way until the 60's. Some still wore gray letter jackets in the 70's. The striping pattern on PNG's white paints also includes black. Our baseball uniforms in the 90's were purple, black and gray. The basketball team was the same. The main thing is the kids like the look. That's all that matters. Lamar's colors are red and white, but you'll see plenty of black on their uniforms as well. Teams add a third color all the time.

The UIL received lots of complaints about teams wearing jerseys that had the numbers matching the color of the jersey. It was a nightmare for us in the media. I noticed Central's road jersey has maroon numbers now, instead of white with maroon outlines like last year.

Not to bring up officiating, because we all understand the shortage. Last night while archiving our video I noticed Calvin Tyler's 1st TD should not have counted. Ball was loose before getting in. Rolled out of the end zone and should've been called a touchback.
