1. TD pass Carlos Teal to Carlos Lewis!!! Diboll 20 CC    6 end 3rd
2. 64 yrd TD run by Diboll's Carlos Teal!! Diboll 14 CC    6  Late 3rd
3. Fairfield wins 27-17 IMO Diboll had a better showing than expected in the losing effort. Although wet field conditions were a bit of a factor, Diboll answered with a couple of good scoring drives using a vanilla playbook. Diboll still needs tons of improvment in order to compete for a playoff spot.
4.
any broadcast link?
Unfortunatly no broadcast tonight. I can't remember the last time Diboll missed an opening week broadcast. Last season was great through Legacy Sports, so I hope Diboll will hook up with them for the rest of the season.
5.
how long was the storm delay?  :o
Game got underway at 9:00.
6. Rain delay. Strong storm moving northeast through Lufkin/Diboll area.
7. From what I read: Rusk 4 scores Diboll 0 Only the first scrimmage of the season, but Diboll obviously has a lot to work on. This score does not suprise me because Rusk is supposed to be pretty good this season, and Diboll will have to rework their playbook after loosing Terrence Taylor. For as long as I can remember, Diboll has always fielded a stud running back like Terrence Taylor or Ketaurus Stanton, but this season nobody has come in to fill those shoes. This to me will be bad for this season but good for the future of the program. Diboll will finally be forced to widen their playbook and quit trying to just feeding their stud Rb. Hopefully they will incorporate the regular use of a recieving TE back in the offense. I do know that if my Lumberjacks expect to challenge for a playoff spot this year, it will take a complete team effort. You can do it Jacks!!
8. Hollingsworth was excellent on the mound, but got 0 hits in the clean up spot for the series. Diboll shut him down at the plate. H. Abbe hit well for Robinson in the second spot.
9. Great season Jacks!! Diboll led the #1 team in 3a 11 out of the 14 innings in the series, but just could'nt get it done in the end. Castillo, Grimaldo, and Dejesus, who will all be back next year, pitched outstanding. Diboll actually outhit Robinson in game 1, but the 4 errors really hurt them.
10. Wow!! Outstanding comeback. Congrats Jacks!! Bring on Robinson.  ;)
11.
I'm from Rusk, so I have a little insight, although I haven't seen them in person this year.... Rusk has a few offensive weapons who are capable of breaking the big play.... #5 Chaston Bennett is the real deal.... Small back, but very quick and shifty.... Rusk defensively has had their issues at times, but when you look at who they have played, you can see how they have given up so many points at times.... They shut out Diboll 53-0 if that gives you a point of reference....
Rusk also was the only team all year to hold Terrence Taylor under a hundred yards. I was very impressed with the speed of the Rusk D. Your right, #5 is freakin quick and very dangerous if he gets past the line of scrimmage.
