  1. Kville is a great team, but to Silsbee's defense win or lose Diboll has made huge adjustments.
  2. Diboll's Qb comes back in and throws 48 yard td pass 42-20 Diboll
  3. 35-20 halftime Diboll going in again before half, but throws int inside Silsbee 5
  4. What a poor excuse!!! Kirbyville is young and lost a ton of talent to graduation plus Diboll is a 3A team with allot more depth, what else can I say??? Just face it, Kirbyville was too much and last but not least, the better team. Your right K,ville actually fielded two more Sophomores than Diboll did. I think the problem with Diboll is that they've been blessed with a lot of depth over the last few seasons( Despite a 485 enrollment which is very small for 3a) so, most of their underclassmen got very limited pt. They even have several seniors that are getting their first taste of varsity football. I agree that youth should not be an excuse for poor play, but it seemed the K,ville youngsters were more adapted to the speed of the varsity level than Diboll's. That should be accredited to the K,ville coaching staff. Diboll has absolutely no depth this year so, they'll be forced to take a different approach. K,ville was by far the better team in every aspect of the game. Good luck Wildcats, this east Texan will be pullin for ya, and hopefully my Jacks can turn it around.
  5. All right, thanks man. Diboll beat a lot of good teams last year including Silsbee, to bad that team is gone and this young team has to deal with the repercussions. I was hoping for a running clock against K,ville to stop the bleeding, but it didn't happen. Unless our team finds a defense before Fri. it might be a repeat. If our team goes 0-10 or 4-6 to squeak in the playoffs I'll be behind them either way, because I know Diboll won't be down for long.
  6. Gilmer will be the team to beat this year. I hope Jasper can do it, but I don't think they'll be challenged until the finals probably against Celina. But you never know, upsets happen every year.
  7. Just curious, who said Diboll had a big time team this year. They only have 2 starters retuning this year. Real Diboll supporters are very realistic of what kind of season it will be. We have a young team with a Qb and a Rb that have the potential to be outstanding. I think they'll be a much improved team by the time district starts and have a good shot at making the playoffs. Season opener against Kville will be tough as well as the rest of there pre-district schedule.
  8. I agree. Just basing solely on what I saw at Kirbyville's and Diboll's scrimmages Saturday, I believe Kirbyville will have the better team. A lot of things can happen before then, teams can better or get worse. But right now I would have to give Kirbyville the edge. Hey Aggies, how did Diboll look in their scrimmage? I know they're young this year with only two returning starters. Just like K,ville they'll have a new qb leading the team, but from what I hear their sophomore Rb is the real deal. It seems Diboll and K,ville are both in a rebuild season, so that opening game should answer alot of questions for both programs.
